a/n: I wrote this when I had writer's block once and thought "well, as I wrote it I'll add it to the fic when it ends" so here we go:
Yoongi was in front of Jimin's dorm. That big, old, and scruffy looking building.
(No, Yoongi doesn't know the meaning of scruffy looking. Yes, he got that from Star Wars. It was Jimin's fault though because he was obsessed with the movies and made Yoongi watch it. That in other hand was Jimin roommate's fault for being a nerd and making Jimin obsessed with it in the first place.)
He despised the place; he despised having to share a room with someone he barely knew.
His former roommate was two years older and had bad sleeping habits, what meant that he rarely slept and usually was up until 4am watching random TV shows and laughing his ass off and that made impossible for Yoongi to sleep.
He refuses to remind the name of the stupid dude and it was just his luck that he never crossed paths with him again.
Yoongi had just shared some texts with Jeongguk on his way of attempting to relax his nerves.
But of course his stupid best friend just made him even more nervous telling Yoongi that he needed to tell Jimin that this whole do you wanna go out with me this Friday night? was an actual date.
Yoongi refused to believe Jimin was clueless enough to not know that, but he's Jimin so maybe Jeongguk was right. Yoongi was really nervous about that, he couldn't just ask his crush if he knew the date was a date right?
Yoongi groaned loudly making some students who were sitting at a bench nearby look at him. He almost showed them the finger but he decided not to because he's calmer and more collected this evening.
He saw Jimin that morning; they had a project to do for their composition class, so he shouldn't be nervous for seeing him again. They kissed more than they actually did the project so why did his legs seem to be made of jelly right now?
Yoongi hates this. He always hated having crushes, he is supposed to be in control of his own self but then some stupid person appears and makes him lose all the control he thought he had. That is disgraceful. It's outrageous.
But this was an actual date, with a genuine dinner. It wasn't just a meet up for university related shit that would end up on making out sessions. This was a step towards the whole dating shenanigans.
It's not necessary to say that Yoongi hates the dating shenanigans as well. His friends are right, he hates just about everything. But unfortunately he doesn't hate Jimin, he probably should because life would be easier if he did, however he doesn't and that's why he needs to stop overthinking and just text the boy that he is outside.

Yoongi took a deep breath and sat on a bench a bit far from the one where those students who looked at him in judgment were.
He tried to calm down and just focus on getting to the restaurant and ordering something to eat. He was starving.
Jimin took long enough to arrive and even longer to find Yoongi on the bench. He should be easy to spot with his light pink hair.
"Hey," Jimin said nervously as he spotted Yoongi. "I didn't see you there."
Yoongi's breath was taken away by the way Jimin looked. His bright red hair was nicely styled and he was wearing nice jeans and a button up shirt with a blazer. He looked astonishing, it was almost unfair.
