Yurio's POV
He's calling off the wedding. But why, does he love someone else. But he seemed so genuine, JJ's suffering. I should check on him...am I worried about Jean...strange.
I started running for the hotel, I should be able to find him. He's somewhere in my hall, I rubbed my thumb over the key in my pocket, room 443. I need to talk to him, I don't know what I'll say but he's suffering. I can't compete with him if he's so distraught. It's not fair, it's not a victory. He promised to marry Isabella if he one gold, no wonder he bombed so terribly, he's a better skater than that even if he couldn't reach gold.
I made my way into the lobby, playing things out in my head. What if Otabek was still with him, what would they be doing?
I bumped into a figure. Maybe a child, "hey watch it," he whined.
I looked down at the dirty blonde, "hey Menami," I was in a rush.
He stepped in front of me, "you my friend, I uh mean my rival, I have made it to your level. I shall surpass you Yuri."
I let out a laugh, he looks like a cute little girl. His voice got higher as he spoke, "why, why are you laughing," he looked at me seriously now, "are you crying?"
Tears were streaming down my face, "No," his eyes widened at me, "maybe, thanks though, you cheered me up a bit."
I started making my way to the elevator, the kid was following me. "Yurio what's wrong?" He asked as the doors closed behind us.
I pressed the fourth level, I didn't say anything.
"Plisetsky, I can help..."
"Maybe," I mumbled.
The door beeped as they slid open, I walked down the hall, the tears now wiped from my face.
"What room is JJ in?"
"I um think 442...why?"
So close, I raised my hand to knock. I couldn't. I could hear his muffled cries behind the door as he talked to someone, Otabek I presume.
I walked back to my door to the right. The key slid in the lock and I pushed the door open. Menami stood awkwardly in the hall, "well, do you want to come in?"
Menami smiled, "Sure if that'll help."
