Yurio's POV
The sun shone through the windows into my eyes. Why was I sleeping on the couch. I looked around, this couldn't be my hotel room. Otabek was fast asleep on the floor, I sat upright trying to get the grogginess out of my system.
Where was JJ, it's his hotel room? I stood up quickly, stepping over Beka. The bedroom door was open, I checked the bathroom door. Locked.
"JJ," I knocked lightly on the door, "Jean open up," no response.
I began rapidly slamming my fist against the door. "Canadian answer me!"
The commotion woke Otabek up. He ran across the room pushing me aside. His face was serious, his eyes filled with fear. Without hesitation he slammed his body into the door forcing it open. He ran inside the bathroom without a word.
I walked in after him, the Canadian sat against the wall, his face stained with tears and his arms dropping with blood. "I'm sorry," he mumbled, "I-I'm weak."
More tears streamed down his face, I knelt at his side. I lightly lifted his chin so he was looking into my eyes, "you are not weak," he looked away, "we all fight our own battles and sometimes we lose, JJ, y-you have the strength to kept fighting."
Otabek sat there quiet as a soldier, washing Jean's cuts with a damp cloth. "You said you wanted to see us climb the podium together right?" He nodded, "so keep fighting with me to do that."
His face was uncertain, then it eased. "Okay pixie," he gave me a small smile.
"Yuri, can I talk to JJ alone?" Otabek looked at me.
"Y-yeah, sure," I got up and turned.
JJ grabbed my hand, "thanks," he whispered.
"Anytime," I closed the door behind me.
