Chapter 6

I woke up early in the morning and texted Naeun

Chorong: The reception locations are ready to be checked out, would your parents want to see and pick one?

Naeun: . . .

Naeun: All four of us are going to check it out but my parents will do all the talking, we'll meet you in front of your company building at 12:00 p.m.

I sighed and began preparing myself and gathering up energy for more wedding planning. I took a shower, dressed up casually, slowly removed the bend aids on my face ,and quickly drank an energy drink. I don't think I've been having the correct amount of sleep lately but, whatever.

I took out the list and called for the catering, the chef changed since Jin is one of the groomsmen.

"Hello Minhyuk ? Yeah, I it's me again, are you free a month from now?" I asked. "Chorong? Yeah, I'm free, but in case, you need someone for plan B" he said. "Don't worry, I have 3 back up just in case Minhyuk" I said. "Fine, but meet me at the café across Bomi's house so you can hand me what I'll cook" he said.

"Tomorrow, at 4:00 p.m.? alright" I said then hung up. I'm so glad I'm friends with people who have these kinds of business because I can help their business just planning a wedding. They're my friends in college, I lost contact with Jimin and the guys after high school.

I went straight to the company building to continue planning early and reduce the work I'll have to do later on.

I got inside my office and found Sungjae already inside. "What are you doing here? I told you I wouldn't be here the whole day" I said. "I should be asking you the same thing, I'm your assistant so in case you get something, I'll be here to get it for you. What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I'll be meeting the parents, bride, and groom later at noon so I'll be here doing work in advance and when I'm done, I'll be out of the office for a while sleeping at home probably" I said.

Sungjae laughed at my statement. "I've been working for you for a year now, and I know you won't slack off when you don't have work". "You got that right" I said "I'm sure I'll just hang out here when I have no wedding to plan after this but it's almost June, and June is when so many people want to get married, right?".

Sungjae nodded "I heard my cousin is getting married but I don't really know him". "Really? Don't tell him you work for a wedding planner, it's exhausting" I said. "You say it's exhausting yet you don't rest" Sungjae said turning his seat to face me.

"You make it sound like a bad thing" I said. "It's not a bad thing Ms. Chorong, it's just a bit, odd. Most people would sleep the whole day after a whole day of working hard but you, you look for more things to do. You're a workaholic, that's why you can't date" he said.

"How do you know me so well?" I asked.

"When you work for someone who talks to her bestfriend in the office every time she's upset, your big ears will listen to every single thing she says. I know you well, but there are still some things about a girl I don't understand" he spoke while putting a pencil behind his ear.

"And what is that?" I asked. "Dunno, Don't care. You keep working, I'm busy playing with this pencil" Sungjae ignored my question and played with the pencil like he said.

I let out a deep sigh and stared at the list. I picked up my phone and called Bomi, it was still early so they won't arrive and I have time.

"Unnie? Why did you call?" she asked. "Bomi, I need to talk with you here at my office. I miss having a female friend around" I said. "It's quite early unnie but alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes" she then hung up and I stared at my phone.
