The Wedding Planner

Chapter 20

Naeun tried on two dresses but she looked amazing in both. I can't believe someone could be that pretty.

The bridesmaids praised her the entire time but her man of honor didn't show up. I understand him though, what kind of ex-boyfriend (whom she still loves) would want to see what she'd wear as she'd walk down the aisle for another man.

"Chorong-ssi, we have a schedule on Monday, don't be late to my office" said Mrs. Son as we left the dress shop. "Don't worry Mrs. Son, I'll be on time" I said with a smile and waved goodbye to Naeun as they left.

I looked at my watch and my eyes widened "It's 6 p.m. already?!" I said out loud then called my assistant, Wonho. "Wonho, are you still at the office?" I asked.

"Of course, I quit at the bar remember? Sungjae left early today to look for an assistant so I'm playing loud music in your office" he said, no wonder I could hear songs playing in the background. Speaking of songs...

"Wonho-ah, There's a file in my second drawer with the words 'Secret' written on it. Wait for me in the lobby so I can pick it up" I said. "What's inside?" he asked. "That's a secret" I answered then hung up.

I then called Taehyung. "It's the alien everyone loves, wassup Chorong?" he said. I chuckled at what he said.

"Taehyung-ah, are you free?" I asked. "I'm at the studio, do you want to start working on your song?" he asked. "Sure, I'll come by your studio in a while" I said. "I'll be honored to work with you Cho" Taehyung said and I said "See ya Tae" then hung up.

I drove to my company building and found Wonho sitting in the lobby while he was holding my folder that had my songs inside.

"What's inside?" was the first thing Wonho asked me.

"Oh, I'm good, I'm feeling fine what about you?" I asked with sarcasm.

"Hey, I'm just curious, are you going somewhere?" Wonho asked while I scanned my files. "I'm going to meet a friend" I answered. "Really?" Wonho asked and raised an eyebrow at me.

"What do you think I'll be doing with these files?" I asked and raised an eyebrow. "Dunno, maybe something like more wedding planning stuff or something else" and he wiggled his eyebrows at me.

I pouted and hit him with the folder "Ow! What was that for?" "for being a pervert and a person with a wild imagination. Bye" I said then turned around and left.

When I got inside my car, I got a text:

Mr. New Assistant : you're meeting up with the groom's best friend aren't you 😉

I furrowed my eyebrows, how did he know?

Chorong: and how would you know?

Mr. New Assistant : I peeped in your files, they're songs aren't they? And I saw a small note there that said 'Must meet Taehyung to record these' hohoho you sneaky witch, let me hear those songs

I ignored him and drove to Taehyung's studio then went up the elevator and knocked on the door.

The door opened revealing Taehyung, "Did you bring your songs?" he asked and I gave him a bright smile then nodded. "Then come in" he said. "Wait, has Jimin been with you today?" I asked and Taehyung shook his head.

"I haven't seen him lately, I'm kinda worried but he's been texting me that he's just at home, lazing around" Taehyung said and I just listened to him. "Did something happen Cho?" he asked then I snapped back into reality.

"I'm not so sure myself, Tae" was all I said because I hesitated on telling Taehyung about anything. I felt the fear run up my spine so I decided not to tell Taehyung.

"May I see the song?" Taehyung asked then I opened the file and handed him the music sheets with the one of 'Wanna Be' a song I had written back in high school. "It's the song you wrote before right?" Taehyung asked and I nodded.

"The lyrics are so sad, it must've been for Jimin right?" he asked again and I nodded in defeat. "Even after 5 years, I'm still jealous of that guy" Taehyung muttered and I heard it but didn't point it out. "Do you still remember the rhythm?" he asked "It's one of the best songs I wrote, so yes" I answered.

"Then move inside the studio so I can record you" he said then he opened the door and I did as he said. I put on the headphones and stood in front of the mic.

"You alright in there?" he asked with a muffled voice. I gave him a thumbs up and he began playing music according to my music sheets.

I began singing with the only voice I had.

"Will it happen if this is a dream?

Sometimes, I imagine myself in front of you

After the recording ended, Taehyung was staring at the lyrics I had written. "Taehyung?" I asked then he almost fell out of his chair and it made me giggle a bit. "You okay Tae?" I asked and he nodded.

"You're voice hasn't changed at all Cho" he said with the muffled voice. "Thanks Tae, yours is as deep as ever" I said and he gave me his square shaped smile, his signature smile that never changed even after 5 years.

"I wish Jimin was here to hear this" Taehyung said as I left the recording studio to go to him. "Why?" I asked and sat beside him. "Because this song was for him but here I am listening to it, but it's really good, even on the first record" he complimented.

"Thanks" I silently said while picking up a bottle of water and he suggested "do you want to me to release it?". I choked on my water and said "what?! Isn't it a bit too quick for that?" I asked. "It's never too early nor too late, you have a great voice Cho, and these lyrics could touch anyone's heart" he said.

"No thanks, I'm fine just being a wedding planner" I said then looked at my watch, it was already 8:46 p.m. "I should get going Tae, I'll see you later" I said then checked if my things were complete in my bag. "Bye Taehyung" I said then left the door while he was just saying "Ba-".

I went to my car then immediately drove home so I can finally enjoy my time alone as it would be my free day tomorrow.

The Next Day.......

"Chorong, I accidentally released the song while listening to it........"

"WHAT?!" I stood up in shock after hearing what Taehyung told me. "But, look at the bright side, you've got 100k views now he he" he nervously said.

I immediately took out my laptop and asked "what name is written on it?". "Wanna Be – by The Wedding Planner" he said, that sounds like a nice name, at least he didn't use my real name. I opened the links shown on google.

It was just an audio, thank god that there's no video. I heard my voice continue to play in my laptop. "So? Are you mad at me or not?" Taehyung asked who was still on the phone. I read all the comments below the video.

I smiled at the comments and told Taehyung "Just make sure my name doesn't pop up, okay?". "I'm sooo glad you're no mad, don't worry, I won't let you real name pop up" he said then hung up.

It's a Sunday, what am I supposed to do today? I looked at my list and found that I'm only going to help make invitations on Monday then on Tuesday is cake selection then on Wednesday is the bridal shower an on Friday is the bachelorette and bachelor parties.

Then the final is the wedding on Sunday.
