Innocence Lost

(Senior year)

Things in the Graham and Maraj home have been different for the past year. Drake doesn't see what love was besides that he didn't want it like their parents. Kat was turning into a hopeless romantic. Their parents' relationship was so twisted they just don't even think of them being together or apart.

In the middle of last year Nicki and Caiah's dad tried to burn their house down. Carol had left him and keeps him at distance from being a complete danger to them.

Meanwhile Nicki was so excited for her senior year. She had been waiting to finally experience it. But besides her family issues she was battling to tell Drake about how she felt about him. She was ready to finally start a relationship, but she never got the chance because he started dating girl after girl after girl. Until one day he ended up running into her while she out walking.

***flashback****

"Nicki! Nicki guess what!?" He says happy running up to her.

"What crazy?" She asks.

"You know how I was telling you about me and Alexis going on a date and all that right?" He asks. Nicki's smile fades a little.

"Yeah, what about her?"

"Nicki I really like her. And I mean like we connect. She different Nic" he says.

"Yeah I've heard that one before" she says starting to walk again.

"Wait, you not bothered by this are you?" He asks stopping her.

"Drake do what you want." She says and goes into the house. How Nicki felt was Drake didn't know what different really meant. And to her it was her.

**flashback over**

In their year of school she had to deal with seeing Drake and Alexis dating. By she didn't wanna be unhappy and miserable so she started to let go of her feelings for him. So she met Calvin. He made Nicki laugh and spoiled her with compliments and gifts. On Valentine's Day he got her a big teddy bear with her favorite ice cream.

On the other hand Kat was with Myles but she had guys she would talk to when she felt he wasn't enough. Kat was having a small problem of feeling like she didn't believe in there being 'the one'.

Moving forward with their lives it was clear to see there was no innocence in them anymore as they grew into adults.

"Calvin stop!" Nicki yells as he tickled her on the couch. He was over to chill but the way Calvin and Nicki were was that they couldn't keep their hands off each other.

"You cute" he said kissing her. She giggled and laid her head on his shoulder.

"You know how I said I wanted to go into my acting more?"

"Yeah"

"Well I've been doing a lot of shows within school. I think I wanna try out for a real part"

"What about the rap thing?"

"It's fun rapping but no one is taking me serious because I'm a female. And you know Drake got offered months ago to do that show Degrassi. He did that on his own"

"I feel you. But I bet in the next weeks you gone get noticed for something" he says making her smile.

"You're so sweet" she says kissing him. The doorbell rung and she went to get it. Opening the door she sees Kat standing there.

"Nic you have any condoms?" She asks noticing Calvin appear.

"Yeah" she says smiling.

"Hey it's time I go get my car fixed" he says kissing Nicki. "See you later" he says leaving. Kat goes into Nicki room and she hands her a condom.

"You lucky I had some" she says.

"I know. I'm gonna get some later tomorrow. "

"So who's the lucky one this time?"

"Sean. He says baby I'll make you need only me" she says laughing.

"Be careful with him. " Nicki says. She knew Kat was not just sleeping around just to. She was just experimenting. When Kat leaves Caiah walks in the house.

"Man I fucking can't stand y'all females" he says throwing his gym bag on the floor.

"Macaiah what's wrong with you?"

"Cari said she seen me with Sydney and said I lied about doing what I said I would be doing. She still jealous of her and I friendship"

"She just needs reassurance " Nicki says.

"You'd think me telling her is enough. I feel like all she wants is for me to get rid of her all together" he says. Nicki just shakes her head as he walks off.

Drake was coming back home from his date with Alexis. He seen another car there and just knows what his sister is up to. Instead of going to his house he goes over to Nicki's and rings the doorbell.

"Hey" he says as she opens the door.

"Drake" she says.

"Why so dry. I feel like we ain't talked in weeks" he says.

"You've been busy. I've been busy."

"No one is too busy to talk to they best friend" he says. He walks in and they go into the living room.

"I seen Calvin ride past me a while ago. Y'all been hanging out today?"

"Yeah" she answers.

"Kat is busy doing you know what" he says.

"I know. I gave her the condoms" she says.

"Nicki I don't want my sister just fucking freely"

"We do it. We all the same age and she ain't doing it freely. I know because she tells me"

"Do you understand I don't want my sister ending up pregnant anytime soon"

"Do you understand we all 18?" Nicki says laughing. "If you don't want her doing it then you shouldn't do it. I have to get ready to go out with Calvin later" she says standing. Drake stands looking at her.

"Mhm" he says and leaves.
