Honesty Honestly

Kat invites Nicki out to eat lunch with her. It's been three weeks now and she knows that Drake attempts to try and talk to her but she has been brushing him off.

Nicki walks into the restaurant and sits down excitedly.

"Calvin just got my crisaugeé. I can't wait for prom!" Nicki says excitedly.

"That's cute" Kat says seeing a pic of it.

"I'm starving. I'm glad you asked me to eat here" Nicki says looking through the menu.

"Nicki I wanted to talk to you about something" Kat says looking through hers.

"What's up?" She asks.

That's what I wanna know. Between you and Drake" Kat says.

"What is up with him and you about us? "

"Be honest with yourself Nic" Kat says. "You've been putting Drake off since after he started dating sophomore year. He got with Alexis and you just completely cut him off then you started dating Calvin" Kat says.

"Kat we talked about this countless times before. I got tired of hearing "she's different " and hearing about him and someone else. I love Drake. He is my best friend. I just couldn't take it anymore" Nicki says.

"Nicki Drake has been trying to talk to you since you last talked. Can you just talk to him? If not for you or him but for me?" Kat asks giving Nicki puppy eyes. She shakes her head.

"Fine. I'll be home the day before prom. That's the only day I'm free " Nicki says. Kat smiles.

After eating out with Nicki she goes home to tell Drake to talk to her .

"She will be at home all day. All you have to do is go over there and talk to her"

"She needs to talk to me too Kat" he says. Drake really wanted to know what Nicki's deal was.

"Just talk. She will" she says and leaves.

The day came that Drake had to talk to Nicki. He asked her to meet him at a park they always go to.

"What's up?" She asks sitting down on a bench.

"I wanna know what happened to us? And I mean us together" Drake says. Nicki sighs.

"I wanna know what happened to you Drake."

"Me? What you mean?"

"Okay let me explain something to you. It is hard liking someone and hearing about the people they date. Or what they think about someone else" she says.

"You mean me and my relationships?"

"Yes Drake."

"Wait you like me?" He asks.

"Liked you" she corrects. "I liked you. I thought maybe we could try dating but you went after other people" Nicki says.

"Honestly Nicki no one I dated is who I want. I want you" he says. Nicki looks at him and shakes her head. She stands up and anger fills her.

"Why didn't you ever date me Drake?!" She yells. He stands.

"Nicki you didn't want to take us far! And I felt like you didn't want to cause we are best friends"

"I never said we couldn't go far. You assumed that because I didn't want rush into anything"

"All I know is I can't stand seeing you with someone else" he says.

"At least you know how I felt now" she says about to walk away.

"Nic" Drake says taking a deep breathe. "I'm sorry. Is that why you pushed me away?"

"Drake you've been there for me and I've been there for you but you could never figure out why I ever got mad or never paid attention to you or your relationships. And it's so stupid how you wanna let me know all of this when I date someone and all of a sudden you can't stand seeing me with someone else?!"

"Calvin isn't right for you! I am!"

"Yes he is! He never mistreated me! He loves me and he was there for me when I needed him. Even as just a friend" she says.

"Don't you think this changes anything??"

"It changes what we know now but I'm not about to break up with Calvin just because you found your feelings for me" she says about to walk away.

"I never lost them!" He yells at her. She stops in her tracks. "Nicki I never stopped caring! And if I'm being completely honest I have him permission to date you! Did I think he would take it that far? No! I didn't even think you would even let him go out with you" he says. Nicki turns to face him.

"You know what Drake. Fuck you! And I know about Calvin going to ask you to date me. He wanted to know if we were really just friends. Calvin helped ease my pain of hearing about you and those other chicks. I took a chance with Calvin and it was no mistake like other guys I tried to go with" she says.

"Listen to me Nic. No one loves you like I love you. You're just hurt right now but you will be back with me" he says.

"At this point I don't think I will Drake" she says and leaves the park. Getting into her car she just sits there and cries for a minute.

Drake passes by her car and sees her. He just knows to leave her alone and leaves too.
