Chapter One

Normani's Pov

"Your Highness... Your Highness you must wake up" I hear a voice and I open my eyes to see Dinah

"Ahh Dinah my friend why are you waking me up the sun has not risen yet" I ask rubbing my eyes

"Well Princess your father told me you had to be up right now and he wants to see you um I think he is in the dining room" She says with a small smile when I get up she goes to bow and I scold her and she doesnt

"Dinah stop you are my friend do not bow to me I guess I'll see you later." I walk downstairs greeting everyone in the castle and walk into the Dining room to see my father I smile

"Good Morning Father" I say sitting at the table

"Good Morning my child" he claps his hands and some of the helpers come out with breakfast

"So Father may I ask why you wanted to see me this early" I take a sip of my juice

"Yes so Normani as you know you will be turning 18 in a few months and you must be wed" I roll my eyes once he says this

"But Father why must I marry so young why can I not just find my own love I take it this Prince is already picked out?" I ask and he laughs

"You sound like your mother did the first day I met her she told me she did not want to marry me because she wanted to find her true love not a man her father picked" We both smile thinking of my mother and how amazing she was

"Well my mother was very smart"

"She was but if you must know Our kingdom is in great need of some help and because of your beauty many princes want to marry you one of them being Prince Chris Jauregui" Once he says this I nearly choke on my food

"They're the richest most powerful kingdom near us and he wants to marry me" I ask kinda frighten

"Yes and this will be good because I will give our kingdom to him so you will still be able to rule it" he says looking away

"Father no I do not like how the Jauregui's kill and fight all the time without even thinking of making peace I will not marry him" I say looking away

"Yes you will" He says looking right at me

"But father they are different from us we try to spread love and only go to war if we have to they go to war because they can and they know they will win they are greedy and just want to rule every kingdom they can get their hands on" I say disgusted

"My child maybe you marrying him will put some love and peace into his heart and he is Only a prince maybe he is different from his father"

"And how would I know this if I just have to marry the guy" I ask

"Well thankfully we are going to meet them today and will be staying with them for a few weeks so you can get a liking to your soon to be new home and kingdom but we must go now it is about a day away on the ship" he says smiling

"Can I bring Dinah" I ask and he nods

"Go get some things to wear and tell Dinah we leave in about 20 minutes lets go" He says walking away from the table

Lauren's Pov

" Good morning princess" Ally says as I walk out of the Castle to go and see my horse

"Hello Allyson why is everyone cleaning and decorating like more than usual" I ask

"Princess Normani and her father should be arriving here later tonight or after sunrise" she says smiling
