Chapter 5

Normani's Pov

"Pssp Mani, wake up" I hear Dinah whisper and I open my eyes and see her sitting on the bed next to me where Lauren was last night and I suddenly feel my heart beat speed up and I can't breathe

"Normani what's wrong?"Dinah asks fanning me

"She was just here" I manage to get out

"Shh they left just before sunrise" Dinah says trying to help me get calm

"You saw her?" I ask

"Yes she said hi before she left" she says

"Did she look scared?" I ask

"No she looked fine Mani damn why are you freaking out so much when you Future king and husband is also out there?" Dinah asks giggling

"I don't know I'm just worried about her I don't want anything to happen to her" I say looking down before laying down closer to where she was last night taking in the scent of her with a small smile and suddenly I get this tingly feeling in my stomach when I think of how she held me last night

"Normani what are you smiling at?" Dinah asks and I realize I must've been daydreaming

"Nothing I just I don't know I've been feeling kinda weird lately" I say looking away

"Ohh are you in loooovvveee?" She asks and I roll me eyes

"Not at all" I say standing up and walking into the washroom preparing to get ready for the day once I am down getting dressed there is a knock on the door and Camila walks in

"Hello princess " she says bowing with a smile

"Hello Camila is there something you need?" I ask smiling towards her

"No I just thought I'd keep you company I know both of my cousins are out fighting today so I mean why not get to know the future queen" she says smiling reaching for my hand and we walk out of the room

"Do you live here as well?" I ask trying to get to know her better

"No my family lives a ride away in our castle but I often come here for the view and the people they're kinda cool" she says smiling

"So what do you think of my cousin do you think he will make a good husband?" She asks

"He's a very nice guy I'm just getting to know him a bit" I says smiling faking a seat outside with her

"And how about Lauren" she asks

"What about her?" I ask

"You like her yes?" She says making me look at her a bit confused

"What do you mean?"

"Well you guys hang out alot so I guess you guys are like friends" she says and I laugh

"Oh yes she's great" I say smiling but it's followed by a frown when I think of what could be happening to her

"Are you worried about them?"she asks

"Yes how did you know?" I ask

"I am too" she says looking down so I move closer to her and pull her into a hug and she lays her head on my shoulder
