Chapter Fifteen

Normani's Pov

I watch as Lauren storms out and all I can do is cry I feel Zendaya hold me and I just cry harder. I can't believe Lauren would accuse me of such things when I only love and want her why was she acting this way towards me.

"Shh Princess you must try and calm down" Zendaya says but it only makes me cry harder and she looks at me with sad eyes before wiping my tears

"Please princess no one as beautiful as you should ever have to cry this much" she says trying to get me to smile and I give her a weak one and she just hugs me and I feel myself starting to calm down and I stop crying

"Thank you Zendaya" I say softly before getting a tissue wand wiping my nose

"Why would Princess Lauren say such things to you especially about me?" She asks 

"I-I don't know" I say 

"Does she like you" She asks and I look at her afraid to tell the truth and she must sense my worry

"shh no it's okay I like girls as well I wouldn't tell on the princess I swear it" She says getting on her knee and kissing my hand and I nod

"Yes she does like me well at least I thought" I whisper

"Do you like her?" she asks shay

"I do very much" I say and it seems almost as if Zendaya is sad at my answer

"I don't think she is very deserving of you if she is willing to call you such horrible names" she says and I can't help but feel upset once again

"yeah..." I say with my head down

"I don't think Prince Ezra deserves you either" she says looking away and I look up at her 

"What why not?" I ask

"The Prince may seem amazing but I can assure you he has his moments and I just wouldn't want you to get caught up in things when he was having a bad day or something" she says with sweet eyes and I smile

"Well thank you for looking out for me but I have no choice I must marry Ezra or Chris if I want to keep my people and Father safe" I say and she nods

"I should get going" she says looking at me and I notice there is a small cut upon her face

"wait let me help you clean that cut up" I say before going in the bathroom and getting water and a rag.  I take my time cleaning the cut in hopes not to make it painful for Zendaya she flinches a bit and I feel bad after I am finished she looks at my eyes before looking at my lips and licking hers I look back at her eyes and she leans in

"Goodnight Princess if you need anything I am here" she whispers in my ear before leaving and my heart starts beating faster because it seamed as if she were going to try and kiss me I watch as she leaves before laying down and trying to fall asleep

Lauren's Pov

I lay in bed tossing and turning I can't believe I was so fucking stupid. All I can think about is how hurt Normani looked when I left her room she probably hates me. I'll never forgive Chris for making me do this but if I don't i have no doubt he would try to harm me or even worse Normani and I can't let that happen. Once I wake up I see Ally looking at me

"What is it Ally?" I ask my head pounding from all of the wine I drunk

"Princess you look horrible" Ally says looking concerned "and smell of wine"

"Ugh I know I got drunk and fell off of my horse while I was riding" I lie and she gives me a look as if she knows it is a lie and I just shrug

"You father told me to check on you" She says

"What why?" I ask

"well Princess you slept through breakfast and lunch it will soon be sunset" she says and I jump up shocked what the fuck I think to myself

"Where is everyone?" I ask remembering they were supposed to travel to have dinner with some king and his family

"They left your father said just let you rest and you watch Normani because she is sick" Ally says 

"Mani is sick? Whats wrong" I ask worried

"I don't know she wouldn't tell me" Ally says and I get up and walk to her room and knock on the door

"Who is it" she says in a faint voice

"Princess It is me my father said I should check on you" I say trying not to sound nervous but she doesn't say anything so I knock again and she cracks her door

"What is it Lauren"she says

"Princess please let me in" I almost beg and I hear her walking away but she leaves the door open so I walk in and see her sitting on the bed her eyes are red and her lips are puffy and I know it's because of me I walk and sit next to her we sit in silence before I lay on her bed patting for her to join me she looks for a second before coming and I take her in my arms and I can tell she is crying and my heart is breaking

"w-why did y-you say t-those things" she cries out and I hate myself for doing this to her

"I don't know" I say nonchalantly 

" Do you not love me anymore" she asks her voice cracking and she looks up at me tears falling with sad eyes

"I.. I don't know" I lie and I can feel her cry more

"what did I do was it because of the Prince I don't love him I only love you" she cries out

"yeah well we will never be together Normani" I say and she just looks down silent tears falling

"You said we could make a way" she whispers

"Normani" I say not knowing what to say I know I'm breaking her heart

"Lauren I-I love you please" she says wiping her eyes and I can't take it anymore I sit up moving her off of me and place my face in my hands so she can't see me crying

"Please don't do this" she says 

"Normani I don't feel that way anymore" I lie and she breaks down crying before shooting her head up and running in the bathroom she throws up and I run after her

"Baby whats wrong are you okay" I ask holding her hair out of the way

"Dont do that" she yells "You can't break my heart and call me baby and make me fall in love again it isn't right" she says 

"I-im sorry I forgot" I say

"Forgot what Lauren" she asks

"I can't love you" I whisper

"But why?" she asks

"I just can't" I say before kissing her forehead and quickly leaving her room and I see Zendaya walking towards it and she gives me evil eyes

"Please go check in her she is sick" I say and she looks at me and just nods and I walk outside walking I don't know where I just need to be away I think to myself

Normani's Pov

I hear someone walk in I hope it is Lauren but as I turn around I see Zendaya and I feel disappointed but also happy to see her

"Princess are you okay" She asks looking worried

"No" I say quietly

"she doesn't love me anymore" I cry
