Chapter Sixteen

Lauren's Pov

I  take my horse and ride to the lake thinking of the pain I must've caused Normani. I can't help but hate myself for it I wish I could tell her but I know she would want to fight for us and as much as I want that I just cant she has to fall out of love with me and in love with Ezra.

"Fuck" I scream out as bury my head in my hands and tears start to fall I love her so fucking much I wish I could take her and run away but that could never work I lay down just thinking  of her and the first time we kissed and the first time we made love and how amazing it all was

"Princess?" Someone says interrupting me

"Yes," I say turning and seeing it is Dinah

"Hi I wanted to find you I just saw Mani and was hoping to talk to you," she says looking down

"How is she?" I ask

"She cried herself to sleep Zendaya is there with her now 

"Oh," I say thinking of how Zendaya is holding her when I wish I could be

"Why? Why are you hurting her like this I thought you loved her" Dinah says

"I do love her." I say taking a rock and throwing it in the water "It's just complicated"

"Okay so explain," she says moving closer to me and looking me in my eyes

"Chris came to me and told me I have to help him make her fall for Prince Ezra so he can help Chris with something important to our father and If I don't Chris said he would fuck her in front of me before putting my head on a stick" I say quickly and she gives wide eyes

"Would Chris really do such a thing?" she asks

"Chris is fucking crazy and evil I know he would try and I wouldn't know what to do with myself if he ever hurt her so I have to do this to protect us both," I say no crying and Dinah hugs me 

"Fuck that's alot" she says 

"I know I just wish we could run away or something but there is nowhere to go," I say

"The world is big there could be a place," She says

"The world may be big but we are small," I say

"You must have faith if you truly love her," She says getting up and patting my back and I nod

"I should get going your father and family should be returning soon I'll see you later," she says walking away 

I stay for hours, after throwing a few rocks in the water I finally decide I should go back to the castle When I finally make it back everyone is getting ready to leaving dinner but I don't see Normani so I decide to go to her room

Normani's Pov

" Princess you should wake up" I hear a male voice whisper I turn and see Ezra on my bed and nearly fall off

"Ezra you scared me" I yell holding my chest and he laughs and I soon join

"I'm sorry Princess I just wanted to check on you and tell you dinner was ready how are you, feeling any better?" he says laying on his side and facing me

"I am feeling a bit better when did you guys get back do you know if princess Lauren is also back?" I ask worriedly about her

"Well we got back maybe ten minutes ago but no she isn't here," he says moving hair out of my face before placing his hand on my head "you feel a bit warm," He says before walking in my bathroom and coming out with a cold rag and placing it on my head
