Why can't I die?

If I didn't believe in God.

I would be dead.

If I wasn't so afraid of pain.

I'd be dead.

I wish I was dead.

But at the same time,

I wish I was alive.

I wish I could breathe.

I wish I could sing.

I wish I could draw.

But I can't.

I'm not okay.

But I wish I was.

I wish I could be happy.

But I'm not.

I wish I could smile.

But I don't.

I wish I could die.

But I won't.

Because I'm a peasant.

I am a pet.

I am a mistake.

Those things die.

But I don't.

I wish I could.

But at the same time.

I wish I won't.
