"Mrs. Gomez, you really didn't have to," Harry smiled at her, holding the jumper, she had given him, in his hands. "But thank you.".
"Harry, dear, call me Emma!" she gushed excitedly. "And yes, I had to! You treat my daughter so well!". My face must have been the colour of a tomato. My mother had a gift of embarrassing me. "In all ways.". Oh god, no. I begged her to stop with discreet gestures, and she got the message.
It was the 22nd of December; the last day before Harry and I headed our different ways for Christmas. He was going to his mum, and I was going to my grandparents. I didn't really fancy being away from him, and I would have brought him along, but I felt bad about taking him away from his mother. Harry didn't see his family enough. He wanted me to go with him, when he visited after New Years.
We went down to my room after dinner, and I noticed he had a rather large present for me. I suddenly felt very self-conscious about my gift to him. I tore the gift paper up, and I nearly cried. There were four large, clean canvases, new paint brushes, new colours, a new sketchbook and new pencils.
"Thank you! Thank you, thank you so much!" I grinned and threw myself into Harry's arms, and he reciprocated the hug. "But all of these things... they're so expensive!". He shrugged indifferently, and I pulled out of the hug. "My present is suddenly very fitting.". I picked it up from the floor and placed it in his lap. He beamed at me, and I gave him a shy smile, as he looked at my gift.
Harry's lips kinked upwards. "It's the meadow in Holmes Chapel... and that's us,". I had painted it in Art, while we were still broken up. He pushed his mouth on mine, cupping my face in a loving manner.
I giggled when we stopped kissing. "I made it when we were... you know. We had to paint a place we had fond memories of, and I thought of the meadow. So I saw an opportunity for a Christmas present, when we got back together,". I was suddenly knocked over, and I was underneath him, causing me to giggle again.
"God, I love your giggle," Harry confessed, attacking my neck with kisses. "And I love you,". We were however disturbed by a knock on my door, and we flew apart. My mum came in. "Mrs. Gome-". He shook his head. "Emma.".
My mother smiled warmly. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but Greg just called. He and Michael are coming over at 9, and we're driving at half past. Just thought I'd let you know, darling. Goodnight,". She left the room again, so we were on our own. We decided to go to bed, and we undressed and brushed our teeth, then laid down in my bed. I put my hand on his crotch, palming him gently. He gasped as I sneaked under the covers, pulling down his boxers.

"Hey Sel, hi Harry. Merry Christmas," Michael greeted with a smile, as we came up the next morning. We both returned his greeting. "We're driving in twenty.". I walked Harry out to the front door.
"Merry Christmas, baby," Harry whispered with a grin. "I love you. Can't wait till we come home.".
"Merry Christmas, love," I grinned back. "I love you too. Very much, in fact. I can't wait either.". He went out to his car, then drove off. I didn't really feel that sad, as we had said goodbye the evening before and that morning in the shower. I ate breakfast, grabbed my bag, then everyone were good to go, including Max, who was traveling in the trunk.
The car drive was pretty uneventful, and I slept most of the way. My grandparents lived in a small village, not far from Brighton. David and I visited every summer, and we always celebrated Christmas there. My cousin, Mark, was celebrating Christmas at his girlfriend's parents' house that year, so Aunt Olivia traveled alone. When we got there, my grandmother had baked cookies and cake, like she always had. Aunt Olivia insisted that she slept on the sofa, so Michael could sleep in her old bedroom, but Michael insisted that he slept on the sofa. David and I always slept in the guest bedroom, and my mum and Greg were going to sleep in her old bedroom.
