Louis’ POV:

“That fucking sucks, mate,” I let out after Harry told me what had happened. “Are you alright?”.

“Do I fucking look alright?” Harry shouted, but I didn’t take it to heart. I probably would have done the same. “The love of my life leaves me, and you’re asking me if I’m alright?”. He broke into tears once again, and I held him.

I patted his back gently. “I don’t know what to say, dude. I’ve never been in this position,”. We sat there for a while, until the doorbell rang, signalling that the other boys had arrived as well. I let them in, and they rushed to his side.

“What happened?” Zayn asked, concerned for Harry. “Why are you crying?”.

Harry told them with shaky words. “And then she left. She just left. I thought about running after her, but what good would it have done? Seemed like she was pretty eager to leave,”. Liam sighed heavily, rolling his eyes.

“Of course she wasn’t eager to leave!” he spat out. “She got an amazing opportunity, and you blame her for taking it?”. We were all dumbfounded. “What if you got an offer from The Rolling Stones or something to support them on tour? Wouldn’t you have taken it?”. Harry stared at the floor. “She’s in love with you! How can you even think she was eager to leave?”. We were all frozen. “If you really think that that was something she would feel in that situation, then maybe you never knew her at all. Because she wouldn’t.”.

“Liam,” Niall began quietly. “Now is not the right time for this. He didn’t mean it like that,”. I found myself glancing awkwardly back and forth between Liam and Harry. “Right?”.

“No, Liam’s right. That was a stupid thing to say,” Harry admitted out loud. “Thanks for the lesson.”.

Liam gave him a small smile. “I am here for you, but don’t blame her. Because she’s not the one to blame. No one’s to blame,”. Zayn made us some tea, and we all - except for Harry - sat in silence, listening to our friend talk about the love of his life. He was crying his heart out, but none of us laughed at him.

Harry’s POV:

Three days had gone since Selena broke up with me. Heartbroken, I got drunk on the second day, and on the third day I was attempting to recover from the hangover. I was restless and couldn’t decide what to do. The quiet flat only made everything worse, so I left it to go see Isabella.

“Harry,” she gasped in surprise, when she opened the door. “How… how are you?”. And I could only answer with a shrug. “Why are you here?”. She actually sounded a bit scared.

“To see you. To see my goddaughter,” I explained with a rather confused tone. “Can I come in?”. Isabella nodded and seemed relieved. “You’re nervous.”. She avoided the words, ignoring them completely. Instead she went into the nursery and came out with my little goddaughter. “Hey Rosa.”. The smile that formed on my lips could not be suppressed, when Isabella handed me her. I sat down in the armchair.

Isabella smiled a bit. “I don’t know how to talk to you. Not after the… well, you know,”.

We sat there for a long time and talked sparsely. When I looked at Rosa and her little chubby cheeks, I couldn’t help but to think about how me and Selena’s daughter would have looked like. Daniel came home, and he cheered up the conversation, but he also took Rosa away, putting her down for a nap. I went home, feeling a little better. I made some dinner and watched telly, but at about 9 pm there was a knock on the door, and when it opened, I was surprised.
