Author's Note: Okay, I want to apologize in advance for the quick POV changes, I just think it suits the chapter better that way. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter and thanks for reading! -rac06h10ael
-Joey's POV-
I dropped Kalel off at the house she shared with Anthony. Just before getting out of the car, she turned towards me and said, "Remember Joey, you can't tell anyone. And I mean it!"
I nodded my head in understanding. She heaved a sigh before opening the car door and slamming it behind her as she made her way into the house. I waited until she was out of sight before I whipped out my cell phone and dialed my best friend.
The person answered and heaved a sigh, "What do you want, Joey? Melanie and I were just getting ready to leave to have dinner at her parents, who live at least a good two hours away."
"You will not believe Kalel just told me, Toby," I retorted eagerly.
-Toby's POV-
"Wait...he what!?!" I replied. Melanie appeared in the doorway. She was wearing a nice sundress that was a dark navy color with white accents.
"Come on," She said as she walked into the room, oblivious to the remark I just made, "We're going to be late if we don't leave now, and my parents are really excited to meet you. And being late won't make a good first..."
"Melanie," I cut her off, placing my hand over the speaker of my phone, "I'm kind of in the middle of an important conversation right now. Give me a few minutes."
"A few minutes could mean you making a bad first impression to my parents!" She told me, crossing her arms over her chest, "I don't want what happened with Ian the first time he met them to happen with you too."
I rolled my eyes and returned my attention to Joey, "You're serious right now?"
-Melanie's POV-
I snatched the cell phone out of Toby's hands and put it up to my ear, "What are you serious about?" I asked the person on the other end.
"Wait...where'd Toby go?" Joey's recognizable voice emanated through the speaker.
"He's busy," I answered, motioning to Toby to get something a little nicer on than a pair of jeans and a stained t-shirt. He rolled his eyes and got to his feet. "Now what did you tell him?"
"That...that Ian got Kalel pregnant," Joey retorted, as if he didn't want to tell me. My jaw dropped, "But you can't tell anyone!" He exclaimed, "Kalel will kill me if she finds out I told you. Let alone two people..."
"No, no, I understand," I told him before saying goodbye and hanging up. I turned around to Toby who was buttoning up his shirt.
"I've got to tell Anthony," I stated as I pulled up Toby's contact list and looked for Anthony's number.
"Are you crazy?" He yelled at me before taking his phone back, "Of all people, besides Natalie, you shouldn't tell Anthony. You know how hard it's been for them to start to like each other again."
-Anthony's POV-
I sighed as I walked through the front door of my house. Lucy was in her playpen, bashing together two wooden blocks that had letters and numbers etched out on the sides. I smiled and picked her up in my arms. "Did mommy come home yet?" I inquired. She nodded her head yes, "Where is she?"
Lucy pointed into the bedroom hallway. I looked in that direction and sighed. I kissed her on the cheek before placing her back in her playpen and walking where Lucy directed me. I found Kalel in the office, sitting at the computer.
