[Epilogue] Things Wouldn't Be The Way They Are

-Melanie's POV-

Corin and I were sitting outside our favorite coffee shop, catching up and casually sipping the drinks we ordered and paid for.

"So let me get this straight," Corin started, "You got married to Toby." I nodded my head. "Anthony, who was married to Kalel last time I checked, is now married to Rachael." Another nod of the head. "And Natalie and your ex got married and had a son named Patrick." I shook my head up and down. "And then Kalel and Joey got together?"

"Yep, she and him are moving in with each other soon, I think she said. I guess they're taking things slow or something," I informed her. "And Natalie and Ian are expecting another child. Rachael and Anthony...I don't know, last time we all met up for a dinner at Natalie and Ian's place, the two of them acted like they were keeping something from us. So whatever it is, that's what's going on with them. And then Toby and I...there's nothing much going on with us. I do want talk to him though about going on vacation soon."

She nodded her head in understanding and took a sip of her drink. There was a long pause before Corin laughed and said, "You know what's funny?"

"What?" I put tea cup rim to my lips and took a sip.

She set her cup down and folded her hands on the table, "You and I wouldn't be here today, sitting at this coffee shop with you telling me all about you and your friends, if I didn't suggest that you got even with Ian. Or anyone for that matter doing whatever they're doing,"

I looked up at her and swallowed hard, "What do you mean?"

"Just think about it, Melanie!" She exclaimed, "If I never told you and Kalel that you should get back at Ian and Anthony by fake-cheating on them, things wouldn't be the way they are!"

I sat back in my chair and crossed my arms over my chest, staring at her blankly before thinking how things would be if Corin never gave me that idea...

Author's Note: Hey guys! Yes, I know, another book. You're probably groaning, annoyed with me for adding another book to this series. But you guys seemed to really like this series and I love it too.
