Chapter Fifteen (Gaelan)
Coming back from the run with a clear head was a breath of fresh air. I was glad for the chance to escape the situation I'd been in, but this only confirmed my fear. I could not escape my feelings for Baithazar.
The memories of our spiritual past have been overwhelming and I needed something to help me have closure with them and move forward into a true relationship with my beloved.
I shifted back into my human form. My first breath in my human body was freezing. I'd been gone for hours, and nighttime had arrived. I walked past the lounging room, the room where I'd almost raped my mate, and the memories punched me in the gut. I could still feel Baithazar's body on mine.
I shook it off and made my way to my bedroom. I opened the door to reveal the center of all my sexual tension sitting on my bed. Seeing him here, in my room, brought back the heat I'd been fighting for the last few hours. Funny how it took so long to reign it in and so quick to return.
The length of his lean and toned body enticed me to move towards him. He looked so handsome in his black and white suit. I wanted to rip it off of him and devour him whole.
"Uh, uh, uh. Not tonight." I groaned. He was doing this on purpose, teasing me and testing my resolve. Why? What had I done to warrant this? His tone implied something else entirely was going on.
"So what are you doing here in my bedroom dressed like...that?" His smirk was imposing. I wanted to slap it off of his face and them kiss and make it better afterwards.
"Going on a date with my mate." He sounded so sure of himself.
"And what makes you think that your mate wants to go with you?" I replied.
"Fine, I'll go find someone else." He stood to leave, but I grabbed his arm and pulled him back to me. My heart was racing in my chest. His proximity was doing things to my body I'd never experienced with anyone else before.
"No. I'll go." His smirk returned with a vengeance, stretching from one side of his face to the other.
"Be ready in one hour, and dress fancy. I'm taking you out." He pressed his lips against mine, sending electricity through my body, soul and all, before exiting. He left me with me alone in my room to dress and build my excitement to new heights I'd never expected before.
An unmanly squeal sounded in my room and I jumped for joy around my room, getting ready for what I knew would be the best night of my life.
