Goku tilted his head at the pink blob that hopped around, laughing slightly as Babidi coaxed him into obeying him. "Are you sure this guy is that big of a threat? He's like a kid in a candy store right now."
Shin took a step back and nervously nodded. "T-That's Majin Buu! He's the most terrible being in the universe! And now he's free..." Goku shrugged and began walking towards Buu.
"With Zara dealing with Vegeta and Gohan still drained, I guess I'm the first and last line, huh? Fine by me!" He crouched down and his hair flowed upwards, flashing to gold as his aura flared up around him. He continued to growl until his hair spiked even more, electricity swirling around him as he stood straight. "Let's see if you're as strong as I've heard. Whadda'ya say, Majin Buu!?"
Goku rushed forwards, slamming his fist into Buu's face. His hand went way too far into Buu and Goku's eyes widened as Buu went flying back.
"Oh, that's so weird! It was like punching rubber!" He watched Buu whimper and slowly get up, and Goku laughed guiltily. "Oh man, I kinda feel bad for that..." Buu locked on to Goku and growled, his face filling back out as he dashed to Goku.
"Woah man!" Goku brought his arm up as Buu's fist slammed into it, the impact sending Goku flying back. His eyes narrowed and he exhaled slowly as his arm stopped throbbing. "Yikes, that woulda knocked my lights out for sure." He rushed towards Buu, both of them slamming into each other in a flash of light.
Zara slowly opened one eye as she moved her face out of the dirt, her whole body burning and begging to fall apart as her golden hair flickered. She watched Vegeta take slow steps towards her as if he were waiting for her to get up.
She groaned as she got to a stand, her body fighting every command she gave it as her arm drooped to the side, her right arm doing as told and coming up by her side. She managed to get her other eye slightly open and she smirked slightly at Vegeta. "You know, I knew you had gotten stronger than me during the Cell Games, but I didn't realize you'd left this big a gap. I might have to go all out."
He laughed at her bluff and she growled, rushing towards him as their fists collided. She felt the vibration shoot up her arm and she winced as the bone in her arm cracked. She flipped back from him and held her arm, panting as he charged his attack. "It's time to finish this, Mizuna!" He launched the Big Bang Attack and she stared at it for a moment before she brought her arms up in a X. The blast slammed into her and exploded, tearing at her and the ground before the smoke finally began to settle. Vegeta stared wide eyed at her as she lowered her arms, smirking.
She growled and tensed up, her aura swirling around her rapidly until it burst from her, leaving her with a pure white aura and black hair. Electricity continued to swirl around her as she continued to power up, her hair spiking slightly as she locked on to Vegeta.
"I told you, Vegeta! You have to answer for what you've done!" She launched towards him, fist meeting fist and knee meeting knee as they moved through the air. Every hit Zara took was returned just as powerful, until a wave of energy hit them. Zara's eyes widened and she jumped back from Vegeta, looking towards where Goku and the Kai had gone.
"W-What is that?" She heard a yell and she turned into Vegeta's fist, sending her sliding across the ground. She stopped and stood up, wiping her mouth as her hair fell back down to normal. Her aura flashed before returning to it's dirty white as Vegeta slammed his fists into her any chance he could get. He slammed her down, leaving her in a crater and watching her slowly get up, her eyes still on his.
He growled and rushed her, his eyes as narrow as hers as he drew closer. Right before he reached her, her eyes softened and he thought he saw her grin before he slammed into her, sending her crashing through more rocks.
He landed as she shakily got up, standing as tall as she could with her legs threatening to give out as he walked towards her.
"I'm sorry." He stopped right in front of her and his eyes widened when he saw how close she was to crying.
"I shouldn't have said no to being wished back. I shouldn't have trained with people I didn't know at the time when you were right there beside me. I should've told you I was pregnant as soon as I found out instead of training without you. I should've saved you on Namek and let you at least help me on Namek instead of taking away your chance to avenge your friends and family. The only home I've ever had was on Earth, with Goku, but ever since I met you and realized you were staying, I've realized my home is wherever you go."
She laughed and wiped her eyes, and he finally took in all the details of her for the first time in ten years. Her eyes weren't as bright, her voice not as strong and cheerful. She spent ten years without her home, and here he was trying to put her in the ground. He realized she lost the one thing that made her so strong.
"I lost hope of ever getting to see you guys again. I couldn't even reach Super Saiyan 2 without King Kai helping me so much. I don't know if I stand a chance in that tournament, and I wanted to see you guys in case it was the last time. I didn't want to tell anybody why. I'm sorry, Vegeta. You win. I can't fight you anymore. Feeling your body react to every blow I land makes me wish I was in Hell..."
She felt him grab her and she closed her eyes, bracing for the knockout punch she knew was coming. She waited and waited, opening her eye when she felt him pull her close. Her eyes widened and she tried to look at him.
"I'm sorry, Mizuna..." She smiled slightly and returned the hug before taking a step back. "I...I forgive you, for fighting me. I can't forgive killing innocent people, but I'm too tired to fight about it right now..."
Vegeta suddenly growled and put his hands to his head, stepping back from Zara as balls of yellow light poured from him. "Get...out of my...head!" He yelled and powered up, forcing more light to exit him as he locked eyes with Zara. "You can take my mind and my body, but the one thing you'll never have...IS MY PRIDE!" He took a knee and panted as Zara knelt in front of him, holding his shoulder. "There's my Vegeta..." She kissed his cheek and they stood, sharing a short grin as Zara opened her mouth to speak.
A wave of energy reached them and Zara paled, her eyes going wide as she began to fumble under her sash for something. "Goku needs our help, whatever he's fighting is holding back more than half of it's energy and still throwing him around. Oh, come on, where are they!?"
Vegeta watched her dig for another moment before she laughed. "Here they are!"
She pulled out two sensu beans, taking one and handing him the other. "We should be as strong as possible, Vegeta. I don't think we can beat him one at a time."
Vegeta accepted the bean and swallowed it before stepping behind Zara, watching her halo before his eyes narrowed.
"I know we can win, as long as we work together instead of racing to see who can beat this guy first. I'm really happy you're still-"
Vegeta slammed his hands into her back, sending her falling to the ground, hard. She landed and dust kicked up, her tail twitching before falling over her leg.
"So, even you can be beaten, when you're off guard. Sorry, Mizuna. I know that if you die twice you're gone for good, and I don't want to take that risk. Besides, you'd only try and stop me from winning so fast." He smirked playfully before powering up, taking off towards the real battle.
