A Desperate Move! The End of The Kaioken!

Zara and Goku fazed out of sight, each one appearing on either side of the new Buu and throwing heavy punches with a yell. Buu took both hits and grinned as the two jumped back from him.

Zara locked eyes with Goku before launching forwards again, dropping low and kicking her leg under Buu's as Goku drove his elbow into the monster's head. Goku kept the pressure on with a volley of punches and kicks while Zara slid to a stop and took off after them, joining Goku.

Buu countered Goku and sent him flying back as Zara took his place, slamming her fist into Buu's as she narrowed her eyes. "Let's see what you've got!" Her aura burst around her and she spun, sending Buu stumbling backwards with a back fist. She hooked his leg with her foot and pulled his leg from under him before she jumped and slammed both feet into his gut. He slammed into the ground with a cloud of dust and Zara jumped a few yards back, at the ready.

Goku landed beside her, wiping his brow before glancing at Zara. "Your energy feels kinda different, Zara. It feels more potent." She let her tail flick as she watched Buu get up. "It's my tail. Turns out it helps regulate Super Saiyan, so I can use the different forms to their fullest without burning through my energy. Instead of a decreased drain on my stamina, it completely removes it."

He nodded before the two powered up, pushing their forms to the limit as they rushed towards Buu.

The two easily attacked in between the other's blows, each one already aware of what the other would do ten steps ahead until Zara suddenly flipped in place, slamming her heel into Buu's head and forcing him to the ground. Goku was shocked for a split second before he jumped up with her, both of them cupping their hands.

"KaameehaameeHAA!" Two beams became one and slammed into Buu, the explosion ripping across the area as the two Saiyans landed and watched the smoke.

A primal roar seemingly forced the smoke away, revealing Buu standing tall and unscathed. Zara bared her teeth and charged towards him, Goku following right behind her. She flipped over Buu as Goku slammed into him, launching into another rush as Zara mirrored him on the other side. Buu began to easily dodge each attack until he grabbed both Saiyans' fists, jerking them down into a harsh knee to the gut. They both let out a choked gasp before they were sent sliding into the dirt, Zara rolling onto her feet much faster than Goku. "This guy's energy is insane! It only makes sense that an insane move would take him down..."

She stood straight, dropping to her base form then bursting into Super Saiyan. Red sparks began to pop around her aura as she growled, a sudden torrent of red energy swirling around her. The ground shook with her voice as she yelled out...

"KAIOKEN TIMES 4!" She smirked at Buu before she charged at him, closing the gap so fast that the trail she left hadn't formed when she slammed her fist into Buu's cheek, sending him crashing into a nearby building. She fazed from sight and appeared above the building, cupping her hands and forming a red ball of energy in her hands. Buu shot from the rubble and she launched the blast, twisting her hands as the beam curved and followed Buu. The attack slammed into his hands and exploded as Zara rushed down with a yell. She crashed into Buu and dug her fist into his cheek as they hit the ground, dust kicking up around them as she spun and sent Buu flying with a heavy kick.

She pressed two fingers to her head and vanished, appearing in Buu's path and cupping her hands. "KAMEHAME-" She was cut off by Buu fazing out of sight. She growled and looked around for him when she felt a blow connect to her side. She gagged as she was sent into the next set of buildings, which crumbled down onto her.

"Zara!" Goku growled and launched after Buu, exchanging blows with him while Zara rose from the rubble. "I'll feel that one until I'm dead..."

Goku grabbed Buu's arm as his fist narrowly missed, spinning around and flipping the monster onto his back. Goku let out a yell and slammed his fist down, sending smoke and dust into the air. Goku's eyes widened as the dust cleared and revealed an empty crater beneath his fist.

"GOKU!" He looked up to the wicked smile of Buu, a blast aimed down at him.

Zara watched as the attack enveloped Goku and exploded. She growled and felt her blood reach a boil. She let a snarl loose as her aura tightened to her body, her hair becoming black with her aura. Her eyes shifted to an empty white and she launched towards Buu, the force from her punch shattering the building behind him as he doubled over. She grabbed his head and spun, throwing him into the air.

Goku stumbled out of the smoke, holding his left arm before he looked over to the fight.

Zara crouched down to follow when her aura suddenly burst and vanished, a short cry being cut short by her falling to her hands and knees as her energy flared up wildly. She closed her eyes tight as she screamed, her body seemingly tearing itself apart as electricity wildly tore at the ground around her.

"ZARA!" Goku flew to her, only stopping when a wave of her energy pushed him back. He bared his teeth and moved forward, ignoring the zaps of energy ripping at him and his gi as he knelt beside her. He pulled her close and focused, his hands becoming enveloped in golden energy as waves of light left him and entered her. Her aura flared up even higher before it violently forced itself back to normal, flickering and trying to increase before it suddenly popped and faded into the air. Zara suddenly went slack and Goku quickly put his ear next to her face.

"..hah...hah...." He relaxed at the sound of her breath and he stood, turning to Buu and narrowing his eyes. 'I've got to get her out of here, but I know this guy won't let me...'

He clenched his fists and closed his eyes, focusing for a moment until a light red began to swirl around his golden aura. His eyes shot open as his aura burst, the Kaioken dancing with his gold aura and giving him a new red tint.

"As risky as this is, I've gotta do it or else we're done for! KAIOKEN!" His aura expanded rapidly as he grabbed Zara's arm, hoisting her up onto his shoulders as he launched into the sky. He sent a blast to Buu's feet and creating a dust cover as he zipped across the sky towards the Lookout.

He felt Zara shift and thought he heard her muttering.

"V-Vegeta..."

Zara jerked up with a gasp, bracing for the pain she felt when her energy went haywire. When nothing came, she opened her eyes, finding herself in a void of black. Each step she took caused ripples of white around her feet, and she watched them speed away until she heard voices to her left. She took three steps towards the sound when a bright light flashed, forcing her to cover her eyes.

She lowered her arms once the light had dimmed, and her eyes widened as she found herself on the Lookout.

"Zara!" She felt someone help her up and she shook her head as she regained her bearings. "Goku? What happened?"

He handed her a sensu and she quickly downed it as he led her outside. "The Kaioken finally lived up to its drawback. It almost killed you when you stacked it with Super Saiyan."

She sighed as they made it outside, rotating her arm. "Well, it picked one hell of a time to do it. Guess it was too soon to really push that combination, huh?" She chuckled before she felt two powerful energies behind her. The two Saiyans turned to see Piccolo escorting Amara and Trunks out of the Time Chamber. She nudged Goku and leaned towards him as the kids approached.

"Combine their power and I'll bet they're almost as strong as us." He narrowed his eyes slightly and sighed.

"Not strong enough for Buu, then."

Zara took a few steps forward and turned, giving him a wink as she shrugged. "Maybe. Or maybe they're too much for him."
