DBZ: In This Forever

Last Stand: Zara

Zara flipped backwards, avoiding the volley of energy blasts that Buu was launching at her. She twirled and leapt into the air, cupping her hands and firing a beam at him. "Ha!" She brought two fingers to her head and fazed out of sight, appearing behind Buu and wrapping her arms around him. "No dodging this one!" Her eyes widened as he leaned forward and turned, the blast slamming into her back before it exploded.

Zara shot from the smoke, crossing her arms in front of her as Buu dashed after her, his foot meeting her arms. Zara bared her teeth and cocked her arm back, letting a yell loose as her fist hit his stomach. The force moved the clouds around them, and Buu returned the punch. Zara gagged and was sent back, barely stopping herself before Buu caught up to her. "Damn, he's strong now. What's with these super evil guys eating people!?"

She clenched her fists and shot into Super Saiyan 2, spinning around Buu's fist and planting a blast into his chest, blowing it apart. She spun again and kicked Buu down. "He's more stubborn than Goku."

Zara ducked beneath Goku's leg, the kids having been fighting for 20 minutes now. Bulma could only watch in dismay.

"Zara, they have to pay for what they did to Eighter!" She nodded in agreement before grabbing his fist. "I know, but they don't need to die! I don't know what happened while I was gone, but Grandpa raised us better than that!"

Zara winced as she was put into a rock formation. She screamed and her aura burst along with the rubble as she got to her feet. She tore away what was left of her grey gi, revealing the hidden black tank top. "KAIOKEN!" Her aura roared to life with the red hot energy of the Kaioken as she crouched down and launched toward Buu.

"Never go higher than a triple. The damage the Kaioken can do will be like nothing you've experienced before." Zara smirked at King Kai's words before she got to her feet, noticing her halo was now gone.

"Don't worry King Kai. I've died once, remember?" She turned and began to run down the path, ready to face the Saiyans. King Kai sighed and turned away. "You'll wish for it if the Kaioken backfires."

Zara dropped to a knee as her aura flickered, breathing heavy before forcing herself to stand. She clenched her fists and yelled into the sky before cupping her hands.

"Kaameehaameehaa!" Zara launched her attack towards Piccolo, the Namekian easily swatting it aside before slamming into Zara. She slid to the edge of the ring before flipping to her feet, wiping her mouth with a smirk. "You hit like your dad did."

Zara drove her elbow into Buu's head, forcing him to a knee before she spun and sent him into a rock wall with a kick. He sent a blast at her that sent her into the adjacent wall, both of them dropping from it. Buu hit his feet while Zara fell to her knees, her hair flickering as the electricity popped around her. She looked up, narrowing her eyes as she got to her feet, lowering herself into her stance.

Zara jumped up, flipping back and slamming her foot into King Piccolo's head. She smirked and spun, using her other leg to send him crashing into some rocks nearby. She landed on her feet and growled as he got to his feet.

Zara cried out as Buu landed on her, sending her deeper into the crater. He did this three more times before she managed to roll to the side. She rolled back and used the back of her fist to strike Buu, sending him staggering to the side as she struggled to her feet. Her hair flashed before dropping to its messy black.

Zara undid the wrapping around her head, letting her hair fall free as her friends watched. "See? I'm the only girl in the world with hair this messed up!"

Zara felt something tug on her hair, and before she knew it, she was face to face with Buu. She weakly pulled a hand back and blasted him. The smoke cleared and she laughed weakly as Buu let go of her before cocking his fist back.

"Zara, stay down! He'll kill you!" Piccolo laughed  before raising a hand towards her friends. "Oh, I'll kill her whether or not she's on her feet. Then I'll get you!"

Zara watched the blood drip from her mouth as she pulled herself up, coughing roughly as Buu kicked her stomach. She rolled onto her back, seeing the cloudless sky above her.

"You know, if I had one thing to thank the Saiyans for..."

"It'd be...for sending me to such...a beautiful planet..." Zara rolled over, groaning as she got to her feet once more. She stumbled slightly as she turned to Buu. "I won't let you...win."

Buu laughed as he walked towards her. "Win? This isn't a competition anymore. It's a game."

She smirked and her aura roared to life as a fire entered her eyes. "Call it what you want..."

"I'll be the one to beat you!"
