Mrs Pevensie, as the rest of families in the counties affected by the war, decided that the best she could do was sent her children to the countryside during the war.

The train station was really crowded with the rest of families. They were all nervous and didn't know what would happen to their parents or what would happen to them. Peter felt the responsibility to protect his siblings, especially Lucy, although he knew Edmund would be the one who will definitely cause him some problems. The policeman gave Mrs Pevensie some identification cards that every child needed to have with them.

-Attention, would all parents ensure that their children have the appropriate identification papers- told the announcer over the intercom.

Mrs Pevensie bent to Lucy's height -You warm enough?- Asked her mother putting her coat properly.

-Now honey you have to keep this on you. Be sure and keep this one- said pointing at her identification card.

When she turned her attention to Edmund, he said -If dad were here, he wouldn't let us go-. Before she could say anything, Peter replied abruptly -If dad were here, war would be over and we wouldn't have to go-

Mrs Pevensie sighted -You will listen to your brother, won't you Edmund?- but the kid didn't reply and her mother turned her to the oldest one.

-Look after the others- she told him, although she knew it wasn't necessary. -I will mum- replied Peter.

The only one left was Susan. -You be a big girl now, Susan- Mrs Pevensie saw the train was coming closer and knew it was time to let them go. -There now... Off you go-

The kids turned around and made their way to the train behind their older brother. -Come on, we've got to stay together now. Everything is going to be okay- said Peter as he took Lucy's hand in his.

-Peter!- Susan said as she snatched the papers from Peter's free hand at the same time she tried to take Edmund's so he wouldn't get lost.

-I know how to get on a train- he replied harshly. Susan sighted and continue walking, she knew it would be a long journey.

When they got inside the train, they started to search for a cabin but they were all taken. Finally they found one with only to kids inside. Peter helped her sisters with their bags but her brother refuse to accept his help.

They spotted her mom through the window. -Bye mom, we'll miss you- shouted the Pevensie siblings. -Goodbye, my darlings- replied her before the train took off.
