Riptide sighed  as he flew slowly to the Talons  of Peace's base, wings dragging behind him. Being a single father and the leader of the Talons was near impossible. Oh, how he longed for Tsunami to be here. For her to help him raise their dragonets. But they both knew that it would be impossible if she wanted to keep their secret. It had to be done to keep their dragonets safe. Yet, Riptide longed desperately for Tsunami to be by his side; he had not seen her in over nine months!

As it turned out, his wish came true. As Riptide once again took off into he air, a familiar voice sounded behind him.

"Well, you seem busy as ever," he whipped around to see Tsunami. Riptide's eyes widened in surprise. He dragged her into a small lake, and then flashed.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I needed to see my dragonets. I needed to know how they were fairing." Riptide shoved down his anger at her response. He was the one who had raised them, not she! If anything, they were his dragonets!

"Do you doubt my abilities?" he flashed. Tsunami's eyes widened.

"No! No! It's just, the longing in my heart was growing unbearable." Riptide chuckled at this.

"Why don't you go see them? They're still in the same cave as last time."

"But what if they don't remember who I am?!" Tsunami fretted.

"Relax," Riptide assured her."Just last week, Salt was asking about when you would return!" His mate visibly relaxed at his words. With a quick flick of her tail in goodbye, the other SeaWing shot out of the water, flying at incredible speeds. Riptide's heart started to fix itself again; he had his mate back, and his dragonets would once again meet their mother. Nothing could go wrong  at this point. Or, could it?
