"Ginny? You okay?" Hermione asks, picking at the food on her plate that should be her breakfast.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired." I say, blatantly lying to my best friend and I absolutely hate myself for it.
"Okay. If anything is wrong don't hesitate to talk to me, or anyone else. Promise?" Hermione says, concern and worry clear in her tone of voice.
"Promise." I say before giving her a fake smile, knowing that I just made a promise I won't be able to keep.
"Good. Are you going to the Halloween party?" Hermione asks, quickly changing the subject of conversation.
"Of course, are you?" I ask, relieved that Hermione changed the subject.
"Yeah, Ron asked me to go with him. As his date." Hermione says with a blush as she looks down at the table in embarrassment.
"That's great 'Mione!" I say with a smile, knowing that my brother has had a crush on Hermione for a long time now.
"Do you have to weat a costume to the party?" Harry asks, jumping into our conversation.
"It's a Halloween party, what do you think?" I ask him sarcastically.
"Yes?" Harry answers, but the answer is somewhat of a question.
"Yes, both you and Ron need to have costumes. And I assume that Ron and Hermione will be wearing coordinateed costumes?" I ask, smirking at my brother.
"W-why would we do that?" Ron stutters, face completely red.
"Because yourself going together and it would only make sense." I say, both Ron and Hermione are dark red with embarrassment.

I pull at the tight black dress Hermione gave me to wear for the party. Apparently I'm supposed to be a muggle vampire, fake teeth included. Ron and Hermione decided to go as Velma and Shaggy from the muggle cartoon 'Scooby Doo'.
I look at myself in the mirror and smile, but the smile doesn't reach my eyes. For makeup I decided to do a smokey eye, contour, highlight and a dark red liquid lip. On top of foundation and concealor, obviously.
"You look great, stop worrying about it." Hermione says from behind me.
"Thanks. Are you ready? The boys want us to meet them in the common room." I say, telling her where Ron and Harry want us to meet with them.
"Yeah, let's go." Hermione says before we both grab our wands and leave the dormitory.
We descend down the stairs and see Ron and Harry talking about something in the middld of the common room. Since neither Harry or I have official dates we decided to go together as friends, so we're both dressed as vampires.
"You two look nice." I say to the two boys once we get into the common room, gaining their attention.
"Thanks, you guys look great too." Harry says with a small smile on his face.
"Let's go." Hermione says as she grabs Ron's hand before we all file out of the common room.
The corridors are dead silent as we walk to the party. Suggesting that everyone whose going is already there. As we get closer to the great hall we slowly begin to hear the music that's being played. When we turn to the corridor that has the great halls entrance there are several couples talking or making out.
"Ron and I are going to stay out here. You guys can do whatever you want." Hermione says to me and Harry and I know her and Ron are going to start making out and the thought completely grosses me out.
"Do you want to go and see if there's anything to drink?" Harry suggests with a shrug.
"Sure." I say before we walk into the great hall.
The four large tables that normally occupy the great hall have been replaced with round tables on the right side of the room and a dance floor on the left. There is a rather large bar in the center of the room closest to the Professors table. I see Blaise, Draco and Pansy talking at the bar, all sitting on red bar stools.
They're all dressed as if they stepped out of a Middle ages Masquerade ball. Masks included.
"Why are you looking at Zabini like that?" Harry asks, snapping me out of my trance.
"Like what?" I ask defensively, not wanting him to find out.
"Nevermind." Harry says before turning to look at Draco.
"So you like Malfoy, huh?" I ask, already knowing the answer to my question.
"What? Uh, yeah. Please don't tell anyone. Especially Ron, he would hate me for sure." Harry pleads.
"I won't tell anyone, and he wouldn't hate you." I say, trying to comfort him before I turn to look at Blaise and see him and Draco are walking directly towards us. "Oh shit."
