It's so sad how you were such a big part of my life and now you're just gone.

GREYSON

My eyes darted to the young man in his teenage years wearing his favorite shirt and black leather jacket in the mirror. All of a sudden, I got a loud thud coming from my chest. I wasn’t excited but guilt came all over me. After two days, I was free to do what I want. I wasn’t locked up in a room with Belle anymore. I’ve waited so long for this day to come and how come I wasn’t that ecstatic anymore? I was finally reuniting with Lauren.

I stood tall and confident in front of the big reflector and started to practice some lines I would use to woo her. I’m fully ready but I just can’t feel the overflowing pleasance in the air for some unknown reasons.

I don’t have to mind it.

I skipped down the stairs with the scarlet carpet on it which felt rough on the soles of my shoes wearing a cap that would hide ninety percent of my identity. Luckily, I was able to get on a luxurious apartment in Barton Creek on that rough night after getting beaten by Belle’s brother. I should probably stop talking about it now since I don’t want to remember her name anymore. My actions in additional to her name kept ringing in my ears for the past few days and it just can’t get off my mind. But now is the day I want to make myself free from those things and forget about it.

I hailed a yellow cab outside the building and told him to drive me to Sunset Valley to fetch Lauren from her Dad’s sister’s home. She wore a delicate smile, a beautiful accessory held in her neck going with the initial L. And somehow, it made my mind turn back to the time I was still with Belle in Glasco’s Coffee Zone when she clutched her pendant going with the letter B.

Belle, y u no leave my mind in peace?

“You’re stunning.” I complimented and she looked at me with a shy smile and mouthed, “Thanks.”

We got in a cab once again and the whole ride was so silent. I already expected that since Lauren wasn’t that kind of talkative and bubbly, just the shy and normal girl. I paid the driver once we got in our destination and guided her outside, leading her to the simple yet attractive dinner place. We walked in and the waiter recognized the two of us and led us to a table for two in an instant.

BELLE

Two days had passed and yet I still can’t get over it. I had been locking up myself in the room and only ate during midnight. It hurt so bad that if I tried to breathe, it would only give me a sharp feeling in the chest.

After hearing those colorful words from my brother, I immediately knew he taught Greyson a lesson. It got me even more upset knowing that they hurt him but I just can’t consider that since he also hurt me ten times worse than that. That night, I can’t sleep in my bed comfortably even if I shifted in many sleeping positions. And that night also, I saw Ivan standing on the pavement wearing his favorite red jacket, staring at my window. I remember how I loved his jacket so much he would always lend me. I missed Ivan so much but it doesn’t make sense if I would go back into our past. I’m still trying to heal the wounds Greyson had given.

And now here I am, standing tall in front of my dresser while staring at my very own reflection in the mirror. This is going to be my last and I’m never going back into this mess…again.

“You ready?” Kyla’s voice interrupted my train of thoughts, looking worried.

I nodded as an answer and quickly fixed my gaze again at my reflection. Maybe make-up will do.

GREYSON

I pulled the back of the chair, letting her take a seat first before going to my place.
