"Hey," Clarke sniffs, eyes puffy as she looks up at me from her spot next to Finn, quickly wiping away the tear stains on her face.

I tilt my head to the side, my eyebrows knitting together in pity for the girl who took care of everyone, but no one took care of her.

I close the distance between us, instantly wrapping her up in a hug. Her shoulders shake against me, and I sigh out of relief, Finn's body looking peaceful.

"Thank you, I couldn't lose him." I mumble over Clarke's shoulder, and a mangled laugh escapes her throat.

"Damn it, Avalon. You're making me cry all over again." She scoffs, and I can imagine her eyes rolling upwards at my small gesture.

I take a step back, smiling at the blonde, who fiddles with her hands as she looks at me sheepishly. I know she feels guilty for the grounder, and we all do. Except Clarke knew I didn't agree with it, but she thought it was right.

"You know I hated what went on up there and it doesn't change the fact that I'm pissed at you," I sigh smiling jokingly, glancing down at my stained hands. "I know you did it would save him, so I don't blame you." I finish, walking around the table to Finn.

Clarke smiles sadly. "I couldn't do it without him." She mumbles faintly, looking down at her shoes to hide her guilt.

I relax, sitting down on the stool next to the table Finn was on. "I know. Just know I didn't like it, but I'm also not totally going Marcus Kane on you." I look up from Finn's still figure, meeting Clarke's grateful gaze.

She hits her thighs lightly. "Thanks," Clarke starts. "Well, I should go," The blonde continues, a sad smile dancing on her lips.

"He's all yours."

I stare at Finn's still face, meticulously studying it while wiping the beads of sweat away with a cool cloth.

His eyes are closed peacefully, lips pressed into a thin line of discomfort. His chest rises and falls evenly, myself counting the time in between. But he seemed okay, and that was enough for now.

"You know, you might not be able to hear me, but if you can, here goes. You're an asshole first off, for scaring me like that," I squeeze his limp hand in mine. "And second, I'm so sorry for not trying harder or not doing enough, and I almost lost you because of that. I don't think I'd ever forgive myself. I just- I didn't know what to do for once in my life." I sigh, biting my lip.
