Chapter 5

Arriving at the restaurant was a little intimidating for Aurora, it was a lot fancier then she was used to. The atmosphere at the table was quite awkward, from what Yuri told her before, Yakov and Lilia were once married and still hold a lot of tension. It seemed that no one knew what to say, Aurora reached out to place her hand on Yuri's knee, causing him to look over to see her smiling gently at him. He placed his hand over hers, grasping it tightly; his eyes looked pained. This was something Lilia noticed, knowing the fact they would be leaving early in the morning. Yuri needed to focus on skating, that was true, however she did understand how the boy felt, she was in love once herself. "So Yuri are you prepared for tomorrow?" Lilia asked, surprising everyone at the table. "Yeah I guess," Yuri responded, looking down sadly. "I will be coming to Moscow for the Rostelecom Cup, so it's not like we won't meet again, and I promise I will come to the final as well!" Aurora stated adamantly, Yuri's hand squeezed hers once again. "The least Yakov can do is let the two of them spend the evening together without bothering them right?" Mila spoke, giving Yakov a serious look. He grumbled, looking over to Lilia who gave him a small nod. "Fine, I get it!" "Thank you..." Aurora blushed, she really did appreciate what they were doing for her.

Back at the hotel Yuri and Aurora sat on the couch again, this time the two of them were a lot more nervous than before. "Hey Yuri, can you help take the clips out of my hair?" Aurora asked, breaking the tension. "Yeah sure," Yuri spoke, Aurora turned around, her heart racing as Yuri pulled out all of her pins. His hands rummaging through her hair felt really good, she almost didn't want him to stop, however she yearned to kiss him even more. Her hair came loose, causing Yuri's heart to race again the second she turned around to look at him. With her hair down and wavy, Yuri reached out to stroke it before pulling her into his arms. Aurora nuzzled her head into his chest, feeling such warmth while Yuri continued to run his fingers through her soft locks. "I hate the fact I'm leaving tomorrow, this feeling seriously sucks," Yuri spoke, resting his chin on the top of her head. "I know, honestly I wish I was going back with you," Aurora responded, making Yuri smile to himself. "Really?" He smirked, lifting Aurora's head up, meeting her lips with his own. "We only have a few hours left, did you have any idea how you wanted to spend it?" Yuri asked to Aurora's surprise. "Yeah actually... I want to know more about you, I want to know what you like, what you don't, what your childhood was like, everything that you are willing to tell me!" Feeling Aurora lock her fingers within his, Yuri didn't know what to think. This girl he just met already loved him this much, he could tell with every look she gave him. "Alright, but I want to know about you as well." Yuri smiled sweetly; Aurora moved to sit on him whilst his arms made their way around her waist. The two of them talked for hours; laughter, embarrassment, understanding, and most of all love were the emotions the two shared. The time when Yakov returned brought a sharp pain to both of their stomachs, that moment they were dreading had now arrived. "Yuri it's time," Yakov spoke; even he felt a little bad for Yuri, but more experiences in life could only aid his skating.

Aurora followed Yuri outside into the hall, both became silent, the only sound was the door lightly shutting behind them. Aurora promised herself that she wouldn't cry, after all she would be seeing him in a month's time. Logic still couldn't stop her emotions, her eyes welled up, breaking Yuri's heart the second he saw tears fall. "Sorry, I thought I would be able to handle this," Aurora spoke, rubbing the tears from her eyes. Yuri pulled her tightly into his arms, where he too couldn't hide how he was feeling. Aurora's eyes widened the second she felt him start to tremble. All she could do was hold him close, this chance encounter had brought her so much happiness, she wanted him to know that much. "Yuri... I am so grateful that by chance I was able to meet you, to fall for you and even more that you somehow fell for me. I promise my feelings will never change, I will message you every day, even if it's about nothing, I will try my best to work as hard as you do!" Aurora spoke, tears now falling faster than before. Yuri pulled back, grabbing her cheeks suddenly. "Stupid! It wasn't a chance encounter, this was fate! Don't you ever forget that!" He argued before giving her a reassuring smile. "Right..." Aurora smiled back, her fingers wrapping around Yuri's. Yuri leaned in, his hand brushing through her hair, thumb resting on her cheek as he rubbed the tears from her eyes. Their lips met, the warmth of Yuri's mouth was hotter than before, almost toxic, making the air that broke their kiss as cold as the ice he skated on. Yuri placed a kiss on Aurora's forehead, pulling back in regret. "Until next time," he spoke, trying to be as strong as possible until the end. "Yeah, till next time," Aurora spoke back, her fingers separating from Yuri's before she turned around to walk away. As much as she wanted to look back, she knew it would make it that much harder. Yuri's fingers grasped the handle of the door, needing to look one last time, he gave in, only his eyes met with Aurora's; losing to her desires once more. Before she knew it, Aurora was running back, jumping at the last second into Yuri's arms. His kiss left her limp, the parting of their mouths in the jumbled mess of desire had shivers shooting throughout her nerves. Wanting to memorize his taste and touch so she could replay this moment over and over again. Yuri's kiss was gentle yet demanding, he wanted to melt into her, to experience pure bliss alongside her. Aurora's hands on his neck were burning into his skin, as much as he wanted to it was impossible to hold her any closer. Gasping for air after their longest most heated kiss to date, only a small saliva trail connected them until it too broke apart. Not saying a single word, the two blush slightly and smile, before turning away and this time not needing to look back.
