Chapter 7
Lilia had gotten Yuri and Aurora back to the hotel, saying she would order room service for dinner. Yuri looked exhausted and once again irritated. "Yuri you really should rest for the time being," Aurora spoke with concern. "I don't feel like it!" Yuri responded, resulting in a sigh from Aurora. She startled Yuri by walking into the washroom and running the tap before coming back out. She then sat on the end of the couch and patted the spot next to her. "Come here!" She ordered, making Yuri approach her hesitantly. Taking a seat next to her, Aurora placed her hand on the side of his head, gesturing him to lay down. Yuri sighed as he lifted his legs, positioning himself to lay down with his head on her lap. A cold wet cloth was placed over his eyes, making him relax his body a little. Aurora brushed her hand over his cheek before stroking his hair, he had to admit that this felt really nice. He kind of felt bad about before, she had told him she loved him but he didn't say it back. Yuri was sure he did, but he felt a little embarrassed about saying it out loud. It wasn't really like him to say mushy things like that, still... he wanted her to know that he felt the same. "Hey Aurora..." Yuri spoke, catching her attention. "What is it?" She asked, wondering what was with the nervous sounding tone in his voice. "About what you said before... I do too ya know," he blushed. Aurora still wasn't sure where he was going with this. "Do what?" She asked, Yuri just sighed a little frustrated, was she going to make him spell it out for her? "I mean I feel the same!" He was sure his cheeks were bright red, a little relieved that he couldn't see, yet at the same time he wanted to see the look on her face. "Feel the same about what?" Aurora continued to question, hoping he would be a little more specific. Yuri grabbed the cloth from his eyes, tossing it to the ground as he sat up angrily. "I'm saying I love you too stupid!" He yelled, face much redder then before. Aurora's cheeks lit up to match, her stomach fluttered at his words, as angry as he said them. Yuri looked both embarrassed and irritated at this point, he didn't mean to yell it at her, but she was being incredibly dense. Aurora was stunned silent, not knowing what to say to express how happy she was. "S-say something!" Yuri cried out, he was feeling more embarrassed by the second. Tears welled up in Aurora's eyes, Yuri on the other hand was scared he had made her upset. He was taken back when she dove into his chest, snuggling as close as she could to his body. "I love you Yuri, I really love you!" She spoke. Feeling relieved, Yuri then wrapped his arms around her. "I do too..." escaped his lips. Looking up into his eyes, Aurora's hand cupped his cheek before meeting his lips with hers. Knowing that they were in love made their kiss more tender and sensual then before, a heated feeling enveloped them making it seem as time itself had stopped. Again this was proven false when the door swung open and Lilia walked in with their dinner. "Why does this keep happening?" Yuri yelled, a little chuckle came from Aurora before she returned to resting her head against Yuri's chest.
The day of the Free Program was a little easier on Aurora, she was still nervous but after finding out that Yuri's grandpa was okay, she felt a load off. Yuri was still a little irritated by Yakov's willingness to coach Katsuki for the day, however hearing from Yakov that his grandfather was here to see him quickly took his focus. Aurora was just so happy that he had come that she didn't even mind waiting with Lilia and Yakov, though the tension was quite thick. "Aurora, have you told Yuri about your plans yet?" Lilia asked, catching her by surprise. "N-no not yet, he's been so focused I didn't want to say anything until after." She answered, still not sure if the two of them were upset about this or not. "I see, as long as you don't interfere with practice I have no problem with it." Lilia stated, Aurora's eyes widened. "Really? I figured you and Yakov would be unhappy about it." "I can't speak for Yakov but for Yuri, if you are by his side then he is usually in a better mood. As long as he continues to practice rigorously then I have no objections. You do have things to work on yourself, do you not?" Lilia continued to surprise her, she had been so scared before when she asked Mila to tell Yakov. "Y-yes I do, but thank you for understanding..." Aurora thanked her from the bottom of her heart. "I have been in love before myself, love is something that helps people grow and learn to understand themselves better. I believe Yuri has grown a lot since meeting you; he has found something else that drives him." Aurora clutched her chest, was that really true? Did she really have that much of an impact on Yuri? "Thank you Lilia... I love Yuri, no matter what that will never change. All I want is for him to be happy and I will do anything to make that a reality." Lilia smirked at her words, it would be very interesting to see how their relationship developed.
