brendon dreamt of a boy.

his hair was a mousey brown, and his eyes were a bright blue. he was often topless in these dreams, in fact, he never did see him with many clothes on. his body was toned and lanky, and his skin was a beautiful pale color.

brendon went around deliberately trying to find this boy, his dreams getting more intense every three days. he found that his more intense dreams were more enjoyable and made him much happier.

on the days of his intense dreams, he would walk the quicker route to work. on the days of his intense dreams, he could hear the boy talking to him. on the days of the intense dreams, he could hear the boy confessing his love.

during days at work when it made his soul ache with need of proper human interaction and not just on the phone, he imagined this boy. he imagined laying in bed with him and doing whatever they felt up to. he imagined their conversations and how comfortable their silences would be. he imagined how his skin would feel beneath his fingertips and how warm his body would be on cold winter nights.

brendon found himself walking home from work one night and his heart began to pound and his mind suddenly fogged with sights and sounds and smells and touches and tastes. he was so overwhelmed that he lost his sense of direction and bumped into someone who was walking the opposite direction. he looked up to apologize for his mistake and was ready to tell him how distracted he was lately and how sorry he was again, but he saw a face that made his stomach churn. his cheeks burned red and he began to spit out an apology.

"i'm so sorry. i didn't mean to--"

"it's all right, darlin'. i'm dallon." dallon outstretched his hand for brendon to shake, and he took the offer gingerly.

"brendon...i've had dreams about you," he said when he got a better look at dallon's face.

"i've dreamt of you too.  you're very beautiful and i think i'm in love with you."
