Taissa's Pov- I begin walking down a snowy road covered in Ice. Liam cries at the top of his lungs as I shush him to sleep. I walk for I know was about two hours when I finally sat down in the snow cold tired and hungry. Wetness from the snow seeps into my fabrics as I lay against a rock and close my eyes. Maybe I have given up. I close my eyes and let tears stream down my face as I let sleep embrace me.
Evan's pov- After cussing out the clerk in the store and getting kicked out I get in the car planning to apologize to Taissa for my instant yelling and I wanted to apologize to my son as well. When I turn to look in the passenger's seat there was no Tai and no liam was in the backseat. I bang my hand against the steering wheel. Pissed and angry. I try to call Taissa's cell then realizing I got no answer I turn the car on and start driving around. After driving around three hours I finally find her in a ditch proped up against a rock holding a tiny bundle. I quickly hop out and run over to her. "Tai?" I cry out I try waking her but I get nothing. "No, no please!" I say running a hand through my hair. I quickly scoop her and liam up. Liam automatically opens his eyes and a small relief takes over his face. "I'm here now okay buddy?" He snuggles against my chest. I strap him in his car seat and I put Taissa in the front laying her head on my lap while holding and kissing her hand occasionally. "I'm sorry I'm so sorry Tai I just wanted what's best for my family. Once we arrive home I instantly get her and liam inside and change their clothes I then lay them in our bed as I rush to the living room and blow up the air mattress while adding many blankets and pillows. I also bring liam's bassinet from downstairs to the living room and I turn on the fireplace within five minutes the room is heated to a good temperature. Once I go back to the Master Bedroom to retrieve liam and Tai I notice Tai's lips have turned blue. I quickly get liam situated in his bassinet and then I lay Tai down on the air mattress. Giving her breaths and keeping her by the fire. I hold her in my arms for about two hours crying and giving breaths. I take in Tai's features all in this moment. She still looks as fresh and innocent as the day I laid eyes on her. I remember that day so well. Her eyes, the curve of her lips when she smiled, her thin strips of hair that beamed in any kind of lighting. Her laugh. Her wholesomeness all in one. She could make the whole room pop when she entered. She could do it all just by one look. When she finally came to it was around 9:09 at night. Her eyes opened with flare and determination. She sat up and met my dark eyes with her own. She held my glance and she knew it too just by the curvature of her lips. "Evan I'm I'm so...so sorry I didn't mean to-" I embraced her tightly rocking her back and forth with tears appearing in my eyes. "Please don't leave me again tai you and liam are my world please" I cry out. "I just want my family to be protected" I say crying. She cries along with me. "I know and I should not have ran away from you with liam, please Evan forgive me." She pleads. "You never have to ask for that I love you soo much you had me worried" I reply. We hold each other and cry for a hour. Eventually She goes to where liam bassinet stands and scoops him up to bring him to where we are. She hands him to me as she takes a sip of the water I offer her. She then presses her forhead against my own while staring down at liam and then looks into my eyes. "I love you both so much" she says. I pull a strand of her back and close the gap between us. When we finish our kiss. Liam looks up at us with pure adoration and latches his tiny hands to each of our index fingers we smile at each other and then look down at liam. As he giggles and smiles up at us. I couldn't think of a perfect way to end the night.
