Thor poured the dog food from the bag in Alvin's red bowl. He placed the meal in front of a patient but excited Alvin. He got up from his position and quickly began consuming the food. Thor placed the bag back into the cupboard. He moved a step over to the refrigerator and pulled the door open, retrieving a cool bottle of water. He removed the cap and accepted the water into his mouth. He left the kitchen and ventured into the long hallway.

His ears caught the indistinct echoing voices and forthcoming footsteps of tourists. Among the murmurs was the informative voice of the tour guide. As he walked, he saw the group coming into view. The tour guide, an attractive brunette turned after giving the group identities of the subjects that were in the portraits that lined the halls. The group noticed Thor and the tour guide turned to him. Her face lit up at instant sight.

"Folks, say hello to Thor Siegmund, son and heir to of Lord and Lady Siegmund."

The people gave various greetings with nods and waves. Thor bowed his head lightly.

"Abby." Thor faced the crowd. "Are you enjoying yourselves?"

A unified "Yes" came from the group. He observed the crowd. There were many diverse faces and ages in the crowd. He spotted a few kids that looked at him like he was a giant. His eyes caught Amara's familiar face in the back. Her smile caused a fluttering in the stomach.

"That's good to hear." Thor looked back the crowd. "If you haven't yet, check out the gardens. You'll love it."

"Thank you, Lord Siegmund," Abby said, "for gracing us with your presence and opening your home to the public."

Thor gave a winning smile. "You guys have fun."

The people said "Thank you," and "Bye" as they continued down the hallway. The fluttering began to subside slightly as he got closer to Amara. She looked more relaxed and casual, dressed in a jean jacket and white shirt. Her shapely legs were in dark Capri pants and she wore black sneakers. Her hair was in a loose ponytail. He noticed a necklace with a blue crystal pendant.

"I'm really glad you came."

"I'm glad to know the invitation was still at hand."

Thor took a deep breath. "So where would you like to start?"

Amara shrugged "What's your favorite place?"

"The Temple of the Four Winds. The path is right through the Wood."

"Sounds great."

Thor smiled then looked down at what she had. "Would you like some water? It is quite a walk."

"Uh, sure," Amara said, nodding.

Thor gave a quick nod. "Come on," he said softly as he walked back to the kitchen with Amara behind him.
