Thor and Amara raced down the green. Rain poured down heavy, instantly wetting everything it touched. Amara gave a playful scream as her clothes gradually became soaked. Thor offered his hand to which Amara took. They neared the mausoleum in less than a minute. They ran up the staircase, finding some shelter under the columns. Thor reached the door and opened it. He beckoned Amara to come in and followed in after. He pulled the door to a close. The slam echoed in the round interior. Muffled thunder cracked outside and lightning made known its presence with quick flashes. Amara scanned the room, her eyes began with the coffered dome, many feet above them. Corinthian columns supported the roof. A sculpture of a seraphic face watched them from above the entrance.

"Wow."

Thor slicked his hair back. "Earlier Siegmund generations are buried here. The last one buried was my grandfather."

Amara looked over at Thor. The sparkle in his eyes dimmed a little.

"I'm sorry."

Thor shook his head with a smile. "He lived a good, long life. It's surprising though he took a chance on everything. Everything life had to offer. He was carefree like you."

"Good to know I remind you of your grandfather."

Thor grinned. "Only in great personality traits."

Amara shivered as a sneaky breeze touched her damp skin. Thor stepped forward, then realized he had nothing warm to offer her. Amara noticed his disappointment and smiled.

"It's okay."

Thor moved up, rubbing his palms together. He held out his hands. Amara took them and felt the warmth. She smiled at the gesture.

"Thank you. I don't mind the rain. When I was younger, I danced in it. I was obsessed with storms and how they formed. Hot and cold air creating pressure."

As she spoke, Thor felt himself leaning in closer to Amara. It wasn't intentional. Amara stopped as she eyed his approaching countenance, his cerulean eyes gleaming at her. Strands of wet blonde locks framed his face. He almost resembled a lion. She found herself getting closer to him, their faces inches away. Their noses rubbed against each other creating tingling sensations. Their lips pressed gently but the feeling was invigorating. Amara felt warmth emanating from Thor's body. Her stance was supported by his strong hold.

Amara pulled away, taking a breath. Thor stared at her, his cheeks burning.

"I'm sorry," he breathed.

"No...," she shook her head, raising her fingers to her swollen lips. "It's just that we practically met." The feeling still tingled in her body.

"I hope you don't think less of me. This isn't the most romantic setting," he said, looking around, reminded of the doleful setting.

"Well, I kissed you back and I'm warmer now. That's another plus."

Another plus? Thor raised his eyebrow and gave a slight sly smile.

Amara noticed the room got brighter. She looks up and sees a flood of sunlight stream in the windows. Thor followed her gaze.

"Looks like Nature has calmed down."

Thor walked to the door and pushed it open. Droplets fell down from the building but the rain had stopped. The overcast was passing by. Holes stretched, revealing the azure sky and golden rays pouring in. They advanced down the steps, their feet patted on the wet stone onto the damp grass.

"Isn't it so much beautiful after the rain?" Thor breathed in the cleanair.

Amara nodded. "It is."

Thor looked at Amara. "Should we head back?"

"I suppose." Amara watched Thor as he slowly threaded. "Thor?"

Thor turned around, facing her.

"I want you to know." She looked him in the eye as she stepped forward. "I wasn't bothered."

Thor gave a smilet. "That's good to know."
