Chapter 8

We're loading the plane now. Me and Sky. I still can't believe mom let me go with him to California for the summer. Carlos is quite the negotiator I guess. I look at Sky who smiles at me as we sit in our seats. 

"Thanks for asking me to come Cat," he said with this awkward grin on his face that makes my skin crawl. 

I nod, "Yeah better you than Mom." I laugh. 

"True, true," he said. I look out the window and watch as Wisconsin fades into the distance. I've never left the state before. Let alone I've never flown before and I'm having the worst anxiety. 

"You okay Cat?" Sky asked as he touched my hand with his. 

I pause, "Yeah i'm fine." I pull away and rest my head on the seat. 

"Oh okay," he said and looked at his shoes. I sigh, knowing I hurt him again. Not the first time. Eventually I drift off and fell asleep. 

I wake up with a sick feeling in my stomach. We must of hit some turbulence. That's when I notice i'm resting my head on Sky's shoulder. But I don't sit up I just lay there for another moment. 

"You awake?" Sky asked. 

I pause then slowly lift my head off his shoulder, "I am now." I realized i'm smiling and look out the window. 

He's still looking at me I can feel it, "You have a cute smile." 

I laugh a little bit then notice the plane is starting to land. Time to call Carlos. 

I draw out my cell and dial Carlos' number. 

"Helloooo?" He said.

"Hey Carlos," I reply.

"Ohh it's you Kid, I just got off the phone with your mother," He said laughing.

"That's a little weird Carlos, keep it to yoursef," I said humorously. "So where should Sky and I meet up with you?" 

"Sky? I assumed you'd bring your brother Joe," He said. 

I pause, "Oh well, you assumed wrong. So where are we meeting Carlos?" 

"Our hotel is the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Be there or be square kid," He hung up on me. 

Wooow Carlos. I said, "You know where that is?" I look at Sky. 

"Zero idea," he laughs. Great we're gunna get lost. 

"But I do know, we're gunna need a rental car," Sky said. 

Finally after hours of driving and asking the rude people of California how to get to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, we arrive at the front desk. You wouldn't believe how rude people were today. One asshole spit on us when we asked him for directions. I need a shower. It's like no one's even heard of Wisconsin here. Losers. 

"Yeah we're guests of Black Veil Brides," Sky said. It even sounded weird coming out his mouth. 

The front desk dude looked at us weird, "Um I'm sorry they're not accepting visitors." 

I glare at the dude then flip open my cell phone. I dial Andy's number which will probably annoy Sky but what ever. "Hello," Andy said. 

"The jackass at the front desk won't let us in," I said to him. The front desk dude looks at me and I hand him the phone. 

"Yes, uh-huh. Okay. Oh god sorry about the inconvenience. Yes right away," He hung up and handed me the phone. 

I glare at him then he said, "He'll be right down to get you." Then he handed us a door key. 

We sit in one of the fancy chairs we'd NEVER be able to afford. Sky said, "So where are they?" 

"Calm your tits, they'll be here," I said just as the elevator door flew open and Andy look freaking amazing walked out. I realized i'm staring and look at my hands nervously. He walked over and I got up and hugged him. 

"Hey Cat," he said now looking at Sky. "I see Sky tagged along." 

"Andy," Sky said. I feel awkward, pull away from Andy and grab my bag. 

I look from Andy to Sky. Neither are saying anything. "So um should we go to the room now..or what?" I asked trying to break the ice. Sky grabs his things and we get in the elevator. 

"What floor is the room?" I ask. 

Andy replies, "Me, Ashley, Jake, and CC are floor 32. Carlos, Jinxx, Sammi, you and Sky are floor 33. Sky you're rooming with Carlos, and Cat you have you own room." 

"Alright then," I said. VERY AWKWARD ELEVATOR RIDE. We get on my floor and walk into the hall. This place is like a mansion. Walking to my room I see that Jinxx and Sammi are also rooming with Carlos, and Sky. Oh jeez I hope Sky doesn't feel awkward. Sammi comes into the hall and pulls me into a hug. "Long time, no see friend!" She said to me. 

I can tell Sky is staring at her. "Oh my god we should room together! Like finally girl time!" Sammi saId. Oh god why? Jinxx walks out into the hall. 

Andy said, "i'm going to go back to my room guys. Good night."

Sky just walks in his room with Carlos and Jinxx. Sammi brings her things to my room and now we're rooming together. Mother of god. This should be interesting. I said goodnight to Sky and walk back to my room with Sammi. I don't even bother to unpack tonight. I just lay on my gorgeous, expensive bed and stare at the ceiling. 

"How was the fligghhht Cat?" Sammi asked. 

"It was alright," i lied. "So how long are we in California?" 

She said, "A couple weeks. Two or three. Then we're off to Tokyo."

"TOKYO? Oh my god. That's alot further from Wisconsin," I said. 

Sammi exclaimed, "You don't say?" She laughs then sits on my bed next to me. "You have pretty hair. OO can I braid it!?!?" She asked a little too excited. 

"Umm," I said unsure. 

She paused, "Oh yeah right, weird. Sorry I've never had a sister. Only three brothers that don't exactly like it when I try to braid their hair."

"Go ahead. Braid away," I say.
