Chapter 4:~ Escape

School had officially started back a week ago and I could say that I was ready to murder every single teacher that walked into my class. The only thing stopping me from going to jail was my friend who refused to get up and let me pass. I could also say that I was happy to see what little friends I have. The bell rang for lunch, cutting off my thoughts.

I picked up my bag and walked to my locker after agreeing to meet up with friends in the lunch room. I switched out my books for my next class and grabbed my lunch. Just before I reached the door, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and instantly smiled, it was a text message from Evan. I rolled my eyes at the name he put himself under before opening the message.

From: The Sexier Brother

I'm calling you in ten. Be prepared for my awesomeness!!!

I rolled my eyes and pushed open the door. I saw Maddie ammidly talking to Derek, Brian, Felicity and Liv. I walked over and sat between Brian and Fel.

"I'm just saying that you should have more imagination. You're a fricking artist for crying out loud!" Maddie yelled across the table to Brian.

"I have imagination, I just don't belong in a mental institution like you," he retorted and I frowned.

"Someone wanna explain?" I asked.

"Brian doesn't believe that styrofoam balls come from styrofoam men-" Maddie started.

"Because they don't," he cut her off and I imagine Maddie killing him in her head right now.

"Maybe he just doesn't want to believe that his distant family got their balls chopped off," Liv butted in.

"Don't be stupid, Liv," Brian defended.

"What if he's actually a ball-less styrofoam man disguised as a human and he's seeking revenge," Derek spoke and I laughed.

"That's the best theory yet," Fel said as she took my phone up from the table.

"So, who's going to check if that theory is right?" I asked.

"Derek!" Liv, Fel and Maddie chorused and the look on both of the boys' faces made me laugh uncontrollably.

"Why me?"

"Well it is your theory," I answered before we all bursted out laughing again. Yes, these were the idiots that I called my friends. How I managed to actually meet them was another weirder story. I was finally able to eat once the laughter died down.

"Hey, Ava," Liv said as I took my second bite of my turkey sandwich.

"Waht?" I said with a full mouth of food. I started to chew when I realised that she was looking behind me with a frown on her face.

"Isn't that Mrs. Hallowell with Mark?" Derek said, referring to our principal and the spawn of Satan, his eyes looking exactly where Liv was looking. My eyes widened and I spun around to look behind me, and there he stood. The principal and Mark were scanning the cafeteria, most likely looking for me. Just as his eyes were supposed to focus on our table, I scrambled to the floor and hid beneath the table.

"What the hell Ava!" I heard Brian whisper yell to me.

My heart felt like it was being chased by The Gruge. Why the hell was he here?! This never happened before! He was taking this to a larger level that I didn't want to be on.

"Is he still looking over here?" I asked to no one in general. I needed to get out of here, not just the cafeteria but the whole school in general.
