Nick Fury's POV

It's been three weeks since Rose woke up, since then, I've been either with her or at SHIELD. Because of the recent development that Cobra is still alive, I'm having all my best men on the case.

"Where's Agent Gill? I need him at my side in three seconds or so help me, I will-" I yell only for Gill to appear next to me. "Good, now, how's the search for 0371?"

Gill shakes his head and pulls out a tablet from no where. "We've yet to recover it but we have found evidence that we're close. As long as all goes to plan, we should recover 0371 in the next year tops." Gill reports showing me a video of some of the evidence, it's a part of the plane. I may just fulfill Dad's promise.

"We want to get our hands on anything we can even remotely related to the tesseract. How long should that take?" I ask as we walk to my office.

"That'll take longer sir. I can't have an exact estimate, but I'll have it run across the boards. Anything else?" Gill asks typing into the tablet. I shake my head no and sit in my desk.

Rosa's POV

Pop's at work today and I'm at the park. I watch as all the children run around, they don't even seem to have a care in the world.

"They looks so innocent, bet that one of them will become evil." I look over at the voice. There stands Jake, leaning on the bench that I'm on. I roll my eyes at him, guess I can join his little game.

"I bet one of them will become a hero." Jake laughs at my comment and nods before sitting next to me. "So, isn't this crazy? We're here, in Marvel. I don't even know what we're doing, well what we're supposed to do." He nods and looks at the playground.

"I bet that little boy right there with the big jacket will become evil. He looks like he just got beat up, perfect background for a villain." Just as he says that a group of older kids come over and start beating him. Another kid rushes to his defense, taking the hits. I instantly go over and get them off of him.

"That's not nice, no bullying." I lecture the little kids. They roll their eyes and kick my shin. "Don't make me tell your Mamas." I warn making them run away. Huffing I look at the kid.

"Hey there kiddo, you okay?" I ask looking him up and down. He has a bruise but it doesn't look too bad, he doesn't have his two front teeth, he's so adorable!

"I'm okay miss, my name is Peter Parker. I'm here with my Auntie, she's over there." The kid says pointing to a lady on the other side of the park. I glance at the woman and nod. I was right!

"Well Peter, I'm Rosa Fury. You saved that little boy, you must be really brave." I coo. He nods and looks around for the boy, but he's gone.

"Thank you miss, I want to be a super hero when I grow up, I'll save everyone from bad guys. But Auntie says I should stay away from bad guys." Peter sighs looking like a kicked puppy. I smile and sooth his hair down.

"I have faith in you Peter Parker, I bet you'll become one of the best super heroes of all time." I smile. His eyes go wide.

"Really? Thank you miss! I'll remember you Rosa Fury! I swear I'll save you one day! Like you saved me!" Peter swears with a determined look on his face. I smile and mess up his hair a bit.

"Okay, Peter, remember that." I smile, just as I say that, his Auntie calls him. He kisses my cheek and says goodbye. Waving to him, I feel a smile grow across my face. "I was right, I just met Spider Man." I taunt Jake as I feel his presence next to him.

"Just because you were right about that one, doesn't mean that I can't be right." I feel his smirk in his voice. Rolling me eyes, I look over at him. "Come on, I mean, you and I know that the world, this world, isn't all sunshine and rainbows." I sigh and look over at him.

"I was in a coma three weeks ago Jake, I think I know. Besides, I know full well that neither of us are from around here. Until either of us find a way home we're stuck here. Just make the most of it, meet Iron Man, have some fun." I reason. He looks at me silently, hesitating to continue.

"Promise," he says suddenly. Looking at him confused, he continues, "either of us find a way home, we tell each other about it. Promise me Rosa." Jake pleads looking into my eyes with the look of a caged animal.

"I promise Jake, just, this won't be the last time we're meeting." I smirk. He rolls his eyes and walks away. I watch him as he walks. Suddenly he turns back around, as if remembering something. He pulls me close, putting his mouth next to my ear.

"We stay here too long, we'll start having powers or abilities, that'll mean this world accepts us and we're allowed to stay. If it rejects us, we'll die." Jake whispers before leaving again. My mind is instantly clouded with questions, and on top is, how does he know?
