(OKAAAAAAAAAY before I start this chapter I wanna apologize for the long wait. I was on a family vacation and I have another one in about a week so I'm gonna try and do 2 or 3 chapters to make up for the absence. but after 2 weeks(1 home 1 2nd vacation) I will have 1 week where there will be absolutely NO ONE HOME (except at night) so I may just catch up the story then! The only thing I WILL be able to do on vacation will be... replying to comments!!!)
Nightmares POV: What if she doesn't? That thought lingers in my mind as I search for Y/n. I call her name, but it's likely she can't hear it through the howling wind.
"Y/N!!!" I call again, probably the 100th time...
"Y/N!!!!!!!" I'm exhausted from fighting through the snow and wind, but if I give up I may never see her again! I can't let her go!!
"Y/N!!!!" It may be my imagination, but I hear someone's voice through the wind!
"Y/N WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?!?!"
Y/n's POV: I wake up freezing and fatigued, and I hear someone calling for me.
"Nightmare???!" I attempt to call out, but the wind is so loud that they may not have heard me.
"Y/N WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?!" It's definitely Nightmare. I'm unsure whether I want to call out or not... he sounds worried, but I don't want anymore questions on the topic we were discussing. I decide to stay quiet for a second to see how he responds.
"Y/N PLEASE!! I'M SORRY!!!" He's apologizing?! This was a mistake! I should've spoken out! How could I just leave him scared?!
"OVER HERE!!!" I try to call again. I don't know if I should stand up and try to find him or stay here and keep responding to him until he finds me... I attempt to stand up, but fall right back down. Welp, that's my answer!
"Y/N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He sounds desperate. Can he here me?
"NIGHTMARE!! OVER HERE!!!" I-i don't think he can hear me...
"Y/N KEEP YELLING!!!!!!!!!" HE CAN HEAR ME!!!
"NIGHTMARE!!! ARE YOU OKAY?!"
"NO!!! I CAN'T FIND YOU!!!!!!"
"YOU WILL!!! I'M SORRY I RAN!!!!"
"NO!!!! I SHOULDN'T HAVE TRIED TO PUSH YOU INTO TELLING ME!!!"
"NIGHTMARE!!!!"
"DON'T WORRY I'LL FIND YOU!!!!!" I-I can't feel anything... my body's gone n-numb!
"NIGHTMARE!!!!!!H-HURRY!!!!"
"ARE YOU OKAY?!?!?!"
"I-I CAN'T FEEL MY BODY!!!!!!!!"
Nightmares POV: "I-I CAN'T FEEL MY BODY!!!!!!!!" Oh god!
"S-STAY CALM!!! I-I'M COMING!!!!" I have to find her NOW! I can sense a negative feeling coming from her... fear. I run to her seeing her on the ground and shaking. I crouch down and wrap my arms around her in an attempt to warm her up. We stay like that for a while, until I pick her up and teleport to the front door of the castle. It's the best I could do. I carry her in and shut the giant wood door behind me then head for the closest bedroom, which is mine. I lay her in my bed and cover her up. When I go to grab more blankets she speaks
'W-wait... d-don't leave..."
"I'm just going to grab more blankets from the closet okay?" I reply in a soft tone.
"N-no! Stay h-here w-with me!"
"I don't even need to leave the room. It's right th..."
"I m-mean s-stay HERE." I sigh and crawl into bed, making sure to wrap around her as much as possible to keep her warm. Then I get an idea! I keep 3 tentacles wrapped around Y/n and use the 4th to open the closet door and retrieve the blankets, then I free another tentacle to help unfold and cover Y/n with the thickest blanket in the closet. I still hold her close, but now it's more for affection then warmth. I feel myself doze a little, but quickly wake to hear Cross calling for me. Y/n's asleep so I don't want to wake her by leaving or replying to Cross, but it could be important... I decide that her rest is more important right now, and I plug her ears so if Cross comes in or yells it won't wake her. He knocks on the door, and asks for permission to come in. I use my blue magic to write 'go ahead, but quietly' on a piece of paper and then slip it under the door. Cross opens the door paper in hand and I can almost feel the confusion melt away as he realizes why he needs to be quiet. I whisper
"What's up?"
"Error just woke up, and is asking for Y/n." I jump with surprise. Accidentally waking Y/n.
"Mmmh?"
"Sorry... you okay?"
"Mmhmm!" I smile.
"Error woke up, and he wants to see you." She nods and I unwrap her so she can get up. She pushes herself into a sitting position, as do I. Then she kisses my forehead. Both oh us blush a little and she walks out of the room, hugging Cross before leaving.
"So... how are you?" I awkwardly break the silence
"... What happened?"
"*sigh* I said something stupid and long story short we ended up in a snowstorm..."
"Go on" CROSS WHY?!
"No thanks."
"T E L L. M E." I groan, and get out of bed
"Look Cross. I know you two are like siblings, and we're friends, but I'm going to only ask you ONCE to drop the subject before it's an ORDER. Alright?" He can tell I'm serious, and backs off.
"Fine."
"Good. Now... what time is it?" he hesitates and starts smiling
"heheh I'm not sure! Is it a B A D. T I M E. or Summer time!" He laughs at his own joke and I roll my eyes.
"Seriously Cross I lost my watch and my phone is dead."
"Fine... wait... what Thyme is it when you need to go to the dentist?" I play along
"I don't know. What time?"
" TOOTH HURTY!!!!" (THANK YOU LIZA KOSHEY!!!)
"OMG CROSS!" He laughs like a maniac and I stand there holding back laughter.
"*huff* ha..ha *huff* okay... it's... 2:30... pfft!" CROSS!!! WHY?!
