Y/n POV: I turn to see Nightmare clapping
"N-Nightmare?!! W-what are y-you d-doing h-here!!!"
"I came to check on you! That was beautiful! Why haven't I heard you sing before?!" I attempt to change the subject
"W-why a-are y-you checking o-on m-me?!"
"Y/n don't change the subject! Why don't you sing more often?!" I don't know what to say..
"uh.... I...I ummm..." Cross enters the room
"Nightmare it's your turn..." I take this opportunity to change subjects again
"Oh! What game are you playing?!" Cross speaks before Nightmare gets the chance to
"Super Smash Bros! Horror is surprisingly bad but Ink and F/n are really good! I was on Horrors team..."
"So you didn't win?"
"Eh, I might of if it was just me, but they killed Horror so many times I didn't stand a chance..."
"I'll be on your team if you want! I'm not that good, but I doubt I'm worse than Horror!"
"Sounds great! Come on! I need to get there before Killer tries to take my place!" Me and Cross walk down the hall and I hear Nightmare trailing behind. We talk about who our best and worst characters were when Nightmare entered the conversation
"Hey Cross?"
"Yeah?"
"Have you heard Y/n sing?" Oh no...
"Hmmm... I can't say that I have why?"
"Her voice is beautiful!"
"Well then! I'd love to hear it sometime!"
"How about now?!" I try to defuse the topic
"Uhhh... S-so your best character is Ness?" Cross thankfully goes with the subject change
"Yeah... And your is (insert SSB character here)."
"Yes! I'm honestly your not better as a character with a sword like Link! Since that's what you use in real life that is!"
" Well I guess that IS kinda weird... maybe I should practice more on those characters..."
"Well you don't have to if you don't want to..."
"Nah! Sounds like fun! Besides, the more characters you can play as the more you can fight against that character!" We arrive in Error's room. Everyone I have met since Nightmare and Cross saved me are there. Including 'The Star Sanses'. I used to be more suspicious until I learned why they attacked my friends, then I realized they did it to try and protect me! It's kind of endearing even though it was misguided, but their hearts were in the right place! (OOoooooohhh!!! Competition? No? Alright!) I sit on the edge of the bed next to Cross as we talk about who we want to challenge.
"We should do Horror!"
"Cross! I thought you said he was really bad!"
"Yeah but I haven't played as Link in a while so it'd be a good warm up!"
"Don't you want something more challenging?!" he sighs
"Fine..."
" I think we should challenge Nightmare..."
"Okay! Hey Nightmare!"
"Hmm?"
"We challenge you to a duel!"
"... a real one?"
"No! In Smash Bros ya bonehead!"
"kay..." I set it up so we have teams and 3 lives. It takes an hour but I finally win
'YESS!!!!!"
"Good game Y/n"
"Thank you! It would've been faster if Cross didn't loose all his lives in the first 30 seconds!"
"HEY! I TOLD YOU I WASN'T USED TO LINK!!!" I giggle
"I know I was just teasing you!" he sticks his tongue out like a child causing me to laugh historically! Ink finally speaks.
"Y/n I challenge you to a duel! We pick each others characters!" I giggle
"Okay! You are... Mr. Game and Watch!" his smile immediately drops
"B-but... t-they're all one color!"
"Than pick a character you think I'll hate..."
"Umm..." he looks at the characters...
"T-that one!" He points at my least favorite character. I sigh
"Alright..." we pick the bridge from Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for the map and after 10 minutes I win! Everyone is suprized... I honestly am shocked myself!
"You beat me?!"
"I BEAT YOU?!!"
