I walked into the cafeteria with Carrie, Lizzie, and Daniel at my side, we started to walk towards our table, then I stopped. They all stopped as well looking at me asking me if I was all right. I can't believe that I forgot that Simon eats with us! How could I forget that? Lunch used to be my favorite time of the school day because that was all that I had with Simon. Now obviously it is a different story.

"Guys, I don't think that I am going to sit where we usually sit today." I say and look around trying to find some other place to sit. I didn't really know anyone except a few football players.

"Why? Do you even have anywhere to sit?" Carrie asks me confused and concerned.

"I just don't really want to sit with a certain someone over there," I say quickly looking at Simon who was joking around with Alana, Mary, Jane, and Jacob. I looked back at the concerned faces of my friends and crush before Simon could look up and see me. "I don't know where I am going to sit but I'll find somewhere. Y'all just go sit over there with the rest of the gang."

"No! I am going to go sit with James and you are going to follow me and sit with us. I am not going to let you be a loner at lunch," Carrie command with a very serious face that made me smile.

Lizzie and Daniel said that they were going to sit with me as well, so we all walk towards James table. I could tell that James was surprised to see us, usually he sits at our table and when Carrie does to sit at his table she is normally alone. They were all polite enough to let us sit with them, even though everyone was very squashed. James was sitting with his friends who were on the football team. Which means that I was the shortest person sitting there, I felt like a shrimp squeezed in a crowd of full blown up puffer fish.

Carrie and James share a small, sweet kiss, then James introduces everyone. There was Nathan, he was a freckled boy and was the second in size, coming right after James. He smiled a warm smile and gave us a very good, firm handshake. After Nathan, was Isaac, who seemed a little annoyed that we were sitting here but put on a fake smile. Then was Xavier, who was a dark skinned boy who like Nathan seemed very happy. Then was the identical twins Parker and Oliver, who I thankfully could tell them apart by Oliver's slightly shaggier hair.

I really enjoyed talking with the boys, they made me smile and laugh when I thought that I couldn't. I laughed so hard that my stomach started to hurt just in the first 5 minutes of meeting them and I had to excuse myself to go pee before I wet my pants twice.

I especially befriended Nathan and Xavier who made me laugh the most. Before I left the table when lunch ended they pulled me back down in my seat and begged me for my number. At first I fooled them by telling them no and that they were only strangers. But they were quick to protest saying that they thought that they did know me and I knew them from just today. Then they said that they weren't asking me for my number because they were going to hit on me, they already saw me as a little sister to protect. Which just made my day because I was hoping that's what I could be to them. I laughed and said that I was just kidding, which they were angry and happy that I was only joking about it because they were making a fool out of themselves trying to get it.

But that wasn't the only thing that happened at lunch... When I got back the second time to go pee, I came back to find that Daniel took a little of my spot and when I came back he saw me but didn't move. So I sat down with the little room I had left making me sitting a little closer to Daniel. It drove me crazy being that close to him, I was almost sitting on his lap. Then under the table we started to play footsies, which I know is really childish but it still got my heart to race and my cheeks to flush. Then he started moving his hand to my hand to where we weren't holding hands but they were touching. I swear I thought I was about to have a heart attack from all of the excitement, laughing and my heart racing like it's Paavo Nurmi, an Olympic runner from Finland that won 9 gold medals and 3 silver medals in the years of 1920, 1924, and 1928.
