After our very first successful rehearsal, I got a ride with Daniel. "You did really good today, I already knew that you were a good singer," I say remembering the duet we sang at Gretchen and Richard's wedding. "But I didn't know how good of a actor you are."

"Thanks. I can say the same for you. You were great up there," he says looking over at me smiling. My heart involuntarily starts to beat faster.

"Thanks..." I say looking out of the window. I see a single black bird suddenly fly out of a tree and zoomed past the window. The bird made me think of Rosa again, I just couldn't shake her out of my head. It didn't matter how hard I tried and how much I wanted stop thinking of her, I couldn't do it no matter how hard I tried. I looked back at Daniel who was paying very close attention to the road, almost too close... it seemed as if he was nervous. In fact now that I think about it he seemed this way ever since he saw Rosa stand up.

We pulled into my driveway and I got out before he could run to the other side and help me out. He seemed shocked and even more nervous from me doing this, he grabbed my crutches from the backseat and gave them to me. I thank him and we walk up to the front door together. When we got half way there I stopped, I need to ask the question that was pressing against me since I saw him react to Rosa. "How do you know Rosa," I blurt out and Daniel stops and turns around to face me.

"What-" he says his face turning white and he looked as if he was a little boy who got caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar.

"You heard me," I said sounding surprisingly firm. "How do you know Rosa," I ask once again. He opens his mouth to say something but quickly closes it. "Don't say that you don't know her, it is clearly written all over your face. When you saw her you looked as if you had seen a ghost that you had somehow been intimate with in the past. Who is she? What is she to you? Did you two used to date?" I say demanding answers and showing him that I wasn't going to back down, I want answers.

He composes himself and takes a deep breath, "Yes, I know her. She means absolutely nothing to me." He says and I give him the 'I think I believe you, but I want more of an explanation.' He grabs my hand in attempt to reassure me, "if you must know we did go out once. But as you can probably tell... that ended a long time ago and very quickly. She is not the type of girl I want-" he says moving his hand to cup my cheek. "You are what I want. Ok?"

I smile a little against his hand and nodded, "ok." He smiles as well and gives me a kiss goodbye and drives away.

I walk inside the house and find my little sister sitting there looking out the window by the door. Was she seriously sitting there watching Daniel and I the whole entire time? I slam the door behind me and she jumps up turning to look at me. Her face had turned bright red and you could see her sweat start to form and drip down her forehead from the guilty feeling of being caught. I place my hands on my hips and look at her accusingly, "what do you think you are doing?" I ask her in a hard tone that matched my facial expressions.

She wipes the sweat off her forehead, "umm nothing," she says back pathetically. I decide that she isn't worth it and brush past her and quickly crutch up the stairs. "So it's true," Hannah calls to me and I stop and turn to face her.

"What's true?"

"That you are dating Daniel," she says with a confusing combination of sadness, curiosity, and pleasure. Her voice was full of warmth, but behind it I caught a bit of sadness. But what surprised me the most was the accusing way she was looking at me, the same way I was just previously looking at her.

"Yeah I am. Why?" I say defensively.

"Nothing..." Hannah looks away from me and gets lost in a deep thoughts. Feeling very uncomfortable I took the as my cue to leave. "Are you happy with him," Hannah randomly says snapping out of her daze before I got to get away.
