Sunday Night, August 31
After yesterday things have seemed to turn for the better. I didn’t know what Ally and Sophie were expecting to happen with their stunt of bringing Aiden and me together but they looked satisfied so I guess everything went as planned. Now I have to keep an eye on them carefully since I know what they’re capable of. Things with Aiden have seemed surreal so far and it’s only been a day.
Last night when I finally got home from ice skating I made dinner for my dad but didn’t eat with him since I had dinner with Ally, Noah, Sophie, and Aiden. When I was making dinner I remembered the talk my dad gave me and realized that I now have a boyfriend. I decided to see how the week would play out and then ask Aiden about it. Once I was done making dinner I went to my room and talked with Aiden till midnight until I realized we had school in the morning.
“It’s late I should go to bed don’t want to oversleep in the morning” I told Aiden with a yawn.
“Wow I hadn’t realized it was so late sorry. What time should I pick you up in the morning?” Aiden asked casually he didn’t even sound tired.
“What do you mean I always drive with Ally and Sophie?” always meaning since school started.
“Well now you’re driving with me”
“But Ally lives 5 minutes away and it’s on the way” I argued.
“It’s on the way for me too” he lied because he lives on the other side of town near Noah. That’s why Ally drives herself because unlike Aiden who is stubborn Noah actually listens to Ally when she has a good point.
“Lying isn’t going to get me to say yes” I huffed.
“Please just let me drive you so what if it’s not necessarily on the way but it’s the right thing to do. I want to be able to say that I drive all the way across town to pick up my girlfriend and take her to school.”
“But you don’t have to drive all the way across town…”
“But I want to”
“Is this seriously going to be our first argument trying to get me to drive to school with you?” I asked and heard him sigh.
“Fine but I wouldn’t call it arguing it’s persuading which I will eventually” Aiden answered which caused me to laugh.
“So what’s going to happen in school tomorrow? I kind of have the feeling Chelsea’s going to try and destroy me.”
“Well she doesn’t have a chance against you in a fight but she could destroy you on a social scale. But don’t worry” Aiden replied.
“Aw how sweet you think I have a chance in a fight” I said sarcastically, “I don’t care what people say about me but having the whole school saying shit about me might be overwhelming even for me” I said on a more serious note.
“Don’t worry I’ll handle it” Aiden told me but I wasn’t too sure about it.
“You’ve told me not to worry twice which makes worry.”
“Goodnight Abigail” Aiden said with a chuckle.
“Goodnight Aiden” I told him.
“See you at school, you sure you don’t want me to pick you up?” he added quickly.
“I’m sure Aiden, Goodnight” I said again.
“Sweet dreams” Aiden said and then I hung up.
