Seika's POV

I was walking home from school when I heard some shouting from one of the houses.

I walked towards it and I ended up in front of the house I thought no one lives.

I heard the door open and to my shock, I saw Concon walk out. She walked straightly, directly bumping into me.

She looked up and I saw the tears running down her face. I heard the door open again and someone stepped out from the house.

Concon looked back and shouted "I said leave me alone!" she turned to me and grabbed my hand and started to drag me away.

She was speed-walking and I looked at her with concern. We were in the middle when she stopped at a shed.

"I-i'm so-sorry you had to see that." she said between cries.

"What happened? Can I do anything to help?" I asked sincerely.

"Take me somewhere alone." she whispered.

I smiled because I know exactly a place for her. "Come on, I know a place." I said as I grabbed her hand and led her.

I brought her somewhere in the midst of the woods but not too far in.

"We're here." I said and she looked around. "This place is my sanctuary." I smiled at her.

She looked at me. "Thanks. For bringing me here."

I took her hand and led her up to my tree house. We just sat there quiet.

I looked at her and I know she's holding back tears. I reached for her. "You can tell me. What happened?."

She looked at me and smiled, tears falling down in her face.

"Sh-she cheated on me." she said. Her voice broke twice.

"It's going to be alright." I said as I scooted closer to her and hugged her for comfort. She just cried there in my arms. Her tears ruining my shirt but I let her. Thinking that there's nothing else I could do.

I looked outside and saw that it's late.

"It's getting dark Concon. We should probably go back." I said.

She straightened up and stretched. "Okay." I looked at her and she looked so down. I sighed and led her through the woods.

When we were at the road, rain started falling. And not just a drizzle. It's a downpour.

"Oh great." she exclaimed. "Why?" I asked.

"Well, I don't even know where I am and now it started raining. How would I go home?" she complained.

I bit my lip. "You can stay over at my house. I live near here and you may stay for tonight."

She looked at me. "Uh. Thanks."

"Come on."

I let her in the house and gave her a drink. "You live alone?" she asked.

"No. My mom and bro left for a business trip so they're not here." I said.

"Oh."

"Wait for me, I'll prepare a shower for you. You may use my clothes if you want to."

"Thanks." she whispered.

"I'll go upstairs, follow me when you're done with that." I said.

"Okay." she looked away and stared at something way off.

I shook my head, I'm not used to see her like that. It felt so different.

I have to do something.

I finished preparing her bath for about 5 minutes and I just sat there waiting for her to come up.

5..

10...

15 minutes passed.

What the heck is she doing?

I was able to follow her downstairs but I stopped myself. I should give her space.

It was good 25 minutes when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I stood up and pretended doing something.

She peeked through the room. "Uh, Hey." she said.

"Your bath is ready. I laid down some clothes for you to use. Go take a bath." I stepped and walked out in the room.

Concon's POV

She left me in her room. I felt like breaking down. AGAIN.

Instead of crying in one corner, I went to bathroom and take a shower. I stripped off my clothes and sank into the tub. The temperature of the water felt nice and I calmed down.

I stepped out of the bath and dressed into the pajamas she lent me.

I sat down to her bed and stared outside the window. I'ts still raining hard. Like the weather's grieving just like me.

Someone knocked and stepped towards me.

"Hey." she said.

She's showered too already and looked really refreshed. "Hey too."

She smiled. "I prepared some foods. Thought that you're hungry." I nodded. Honestly, I'm not in the mood to eat but I don't like rejecting her now. "Okay."

We went downstairs and started to eat. We were both quiet.

"Thanks." I said as she stood up and washed the dishes when were done.

"For what?" she asked.

"For letting me stay, for preparing dinner, for being here." I whispered the last part. I felt like crying again. I heard the faucet turned off and I felt her arms on my shoulder. She gave me a hug as she sat down next to me.

I looked at her and she smiled at me. "It's going to be alright. What happened is just a bitter part of life. Hard times didn't last forever." she said and gave me an assuring smile. I smiled back at her. She made me feel so safe.

"Uhm. Well, is it okay if we share bed tonight? Because the guest room is pretty messed up right now and ---"

"Sure." I said cutting her off. "It's fine with me."
