Glimmer of Hope

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I graduated (second highest in my class) and then got a job. I'm working a lot and have been so tired. I will get back to updating more soon and sorry for this being a short chapter. 

"Captain, we're finished." Mikey came up with Ray following behind him.

"What's the damage boys?" Gerard turned his full citation to them. Frank quietly eavesdropped on their conversation.

"Well, there is a hole in the ship where all our food is, so that needs to be fixed and the food got ruined too." Mikey was the only one brave enough to tell Gerard the news. If it were anyone else besides Mikey he would have thrown them overboard in a fit of rage, but since Mikey was his little brother he doesn't act out in rage.

Gerard sighed, he knew this meant they would have to stop at the closest land and port for a couple days to get everything. His other worry was what to do with Frank those couple days. He turned to look at the man on his mind, to find him staring at the sea. Gerard watched as Frank's Hazel eyes that sparkled to the reflection of the sea. Gerard knew Frank would run away as soon as he had a chance, no matter how well Frank act like he has accepted that he now belonged to Gerard, he knew it was all an act to put down his guard.

"Fuck," Gerard groaned quietly to himself then addressed the crew. "We will stop at the next port, so I want to list exactly what we need and then we will slip up the list into teams."

Frank looked over at Gerard. They are going to land soon, this could be his chance to escape. He had to think where they are landing then he will have to figure out how to slip away. Then after he slips away he is going to have to find someone who he can trust to get home.

Gerard wasn't an idiot, he knew Frank would run the first chance he gets. Gerard thought for a second then grinned. This could be a test for him.
