Carter has been thrown a lot of stones in life. will she let the pain and suffering get to her or will love cure it all?
*read to find out*
We have been on the road for 30 minutes now in dead silence. No radio, no talking just nothing. So I decided that i'm going to break the ice.
"Mrs Tyler is my dad doing OK ?" I asked concerned.
"Yes he's healing absolutely fine" she said kindly
"What about his charges?"
"Well Carter your dad pleaded guilty so he wouldn't have to go to court so he has been given 2 years in jail." She said sympathetically
"I knew that this was going to happen sooner or later I just hope he will be alright".
"Well Carter everything will be handled, you just worry about what teenagers worry about" She said kindly
"OK thank you for the help"
I laid my head back on the headrest sighing at the fact that I knew one day this would happen and he would eventually get caught. My mind started to race knowing that I'm going to have to stay in the system for two years. Lost in my thoughts I started to fall asleep until I felt the car stop. I opened my eyes and looked out the window noticing that we were in a driveway. I looked up and saw this beautiful big white house. My mouth started to drop until I saw the family exiting the house.

Then my feelings started rushing back and I began to cry. Then Mrs Tyler turned to me.
"Carter listen everything is going to be alright give the family a try and if you don't feel comfortable you have my number call me and I will come get you" she said reassuringly
"OK i will" I said as I looked at her wiping my tears.
"Alright come on carter let's go meet your new family" She said kindly
We exited the car and was greeted by a man and a women and two kids. I never say a family look as happy as they did. We walked over to them and they all greeted me with a hug. I have not felt a hug like that in years it kind of warmed my heart
"Hello Carter, I'm Mrs Johnson and this is Mr Johnson, Riley and Ryan. She said kindly
"Hey nice to meet you guys" I said shyly
"Come in... come in please the girls will show you to your room". She said pleasantly
"Hey i'm Riley your new sister follow me I will show you your room"
"No Riley I want to show her the room" She said kindly while running up the steps
I looked back at Mrs Tyler for reassurance .
"Go Carter go see your room I will be down here talking with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson" She said reassuringly
I ran behind Riley and Ryan up to my room. When they opened the door it was perfect. I can't believe that everything is going this great. I felt a feeling that I haven't felt in a while, Wanted. I went in the room and looked around it didn't feel like home but i felt something really close to it

"Do you like your room Cater ?" Riley asked
"Yes I really like it" I said kindly
" well you can stay up here if you want but we're going back down stairs, COME ON Ryan" She said kindly and loudly as they exited the room.
I looked around the room, laid on my bed and set in the chairs. A few minutes later a women comes in my room and drops off my belongings.
"Thank you ma'am" I said nicely
"You welcome Ms Stevenson by the way I'm Geraldine the maid" She said respectfully
"Nice to meet you Geraldine" I said nicely
" Nice to meet you as well" She said while exiting the room.
I started to put my things away. Then I heard Mrs.Tyler calling me.
"Yes?" I called out
"Come down I'm leaving." She called out nicely
"OK here i come" i called out walking down the stairs meeting her at the bottom
"Carter listen the Johnson's are a great family you are in good hands but if you need anything call me at any time" She said kindly then walking away.
"WAIT" I called out before she could leave out the door, running over and giving her a huge hug. "Thank you for taking care of me" I said whispered to her
" You Welcome Carter be good, bye sweetheart" She said sadly.
