Can I have everyone's attention please" She calls out
Everyone got quiet and turned their attention towards her
"So today's assignment is a read and discuss. So you will read four poems, create three questions for each and then discuss the poems with your partner. So please get started and keep the nose to a minimum" Mrs Santos requested
"So do you want to read the poems together then branch off to make the questions then come back and discuss" I questioned nervously
"Yes we could do that, by the way what is your name?" He questioned curiously
His voice was like music to my ears. Everything about him seemed to be so perfect to me. But he wouldn't like a girl like me, so moving on.
"My name is Carter, What's your name?" I questioned
"Pretty name for a pretty girl and My name is Cole nice to meet you"He replied firtingly
"Umm thank you and you also have a very cool name" I said shyly while blushing
"So you ready to get started" I questioned kindly
"Yeah i'm ready if you're ready"He said nicely
He moved closer to me as i began to read. I looked up at him seeing if he was paying attention. We locked eyes but I abruptly looked back at my paper. My cheeks flushed from embarrassment. I never understood why i was so awkward. I continued reading all four poems. We turned our separate ways and began writing our three questions for each.
"Are you finished your questions ?" i asked shyly
"Yeah i'm done are you ready to discuss?" He questioned
I shook my head yes.
We started discussing the questions. I watched him as he discussed his questions, I couldn't help but notice his eyes up close were an ocean blue,his jawline was perfect and his lips were just amazing. I guessed he felt me staring so he began to massage his jaw. After he was done talking about his questions i told him about mine and we were done our assignment for today.
Class was over in about two minutes. So we started to pack our stuff up to get ready for next period.
"Carter you are a really great partner"He said kindly
"Thank you Cole"I said kindly with a smile .
I couldn't believe that Cole actually complimented me i thought to myself as i walked down the hall to next period.
After first period the day seemed to go by quickly. It was five minutes until dismissal.I was texting Mrs.Tyler to tell her how my day went, when i felt a light tap on my shoulder.
"Hey Carter i was wondering if i could have your number?"He asked shyly
Wait did Cole really just ask for my number. Omg i can't believe this. My insides was jumping for joy.
"Sure Cole" i said as i took his phone and inserted my number.
