Carter has been thrown a lot of stones in life. will she let the pain and suffering get to her or will love cure it all?

I felt someone jumping on my bed. I heard faint singing. I opened my eyes to Mr , Mrs. Johnson and Chrys signing happy birthday holding a birthday cake and Riley and Ryan jumping on my bed. I sat up and sung with them. Then i blew out my candles.
"Thank you guys" I said getting up hugging them
"You welcome" They all said hugging me back.
Mrs johnson took the cake downstairs and everyone else went their own way. After they left out I got in the shower, wash my face, brushed my teeth, put on a little makeup and curled my hair. I finished up my hair, went in my room putting on one of the outfits from yesterday.

After I was finished getting dressed. I went downstairs to the kitchen where everyone was sitting down eating my favorite breakfast. I grabbed my plate and sat down and began to eat. After five minutes everyone was finished. The maid came over and grabbed the plates. Everyone got up and went upstairs I waited downstairs until Chrys was done getting ready. After she was done. She came downstairs.
"Carter come with me to run some errands" she said kindly
"Ok" I said confused on what errands she has to run
We drove about fifteen minutes to this beauty shop.
"Why are we here?" I questioned Chrys
"For you i wanted to do something for you on your birthday" she said happily
"Wow Chrys thanks" I said thankfully
When we went into the shop there was a booth set up for me with balloons,party hats and all my favorite candies.
"Thank you Chrys" i said happily jumping for joy.
"Sit down" she said laughing at me
I sat down and the lady turned the chair around so it wouldn't face the mirror. I was so nervous but so happy. After a hour of hair washing, cutting, blow drying.brushing and combing I can finally see the final product. The women turns the chair around and i was so amazed. I never would have thought of highlights for myself.

"Thank you so much" I said thankfully to the hairstylist
"You really do know what's best for me" I said running happily over to my best friend hugging her once again.
"So you ready for our next stop" she said mysteriously
"Yes i'm so ready" I said happily
About ten minutes later we stopped at this luxury makeup shop. I was so excited we went in and there was another booth with balloons. This time it was filled with all my favorite makeup brands that i couldn't afford before i moved. I took a seat. After about twenty minutes she was finished i looked in the mirror so joyfully. My makeup was beautiful and I felt beautiful for once in my life.

"Thank you so much you didn't have to do this"I said sincerely.
"You deserve it" she said sincerely
"Yeah if you think so" I said ironically
"So are you ready for the last stop"she said happily
"Yes I'm so ready" i said happily
Fifteen minutes later we arrived ocean prime. She came around to my side of the car and opened the door.
"Right behind ma'am" she said standing with her arm pointing in the direction of the door.
"Thank you" i said giggling
She gave the keys to the valet. Then we went in.
"Hello ma'am do you have a reservation?" she questioned
"Yes Chrys andersen" Chrys said professionally
"Yes i have you here follow me" she said professionally
As we followed her we passed all these empty tables. I wonder how Chrys is paying for all this i thought to myself as we followed the women to the best table in the house. It was a private room, with big glass windows that overlooked the city. It was beautiful as the sun went down. After about three minutes we ordered our food. Ten minutes later the food came to the table on beautiful gold plates.
"Thank you so much chrys, this must have been expensive" I said thankfully
"Don't worry about the price, my best friend deserves the best" She said reassuringly
"I'm going to pay you back I promise" I said certainly
"Listen you don't have to pay me back. This is all for you and if you try i'm not taking the money" she said hardly while smiling
"Ok" i said defeated as i continued to eat
After about eight minutes we were done eating. Chrys payed the bill. Then we took a twenty minute drive back to the house so i can put on my birthday outfit. After i freshened and got dressed i went back downstairs to a very well dressed Chrys. I couldn't help but notice that everyone was gone but i just brushed it off.
"Carter this surprise consist of a blindfold" she said hesitantly
"Umm OK i guess" I said uncertain
She blindfolded me and led me to the car. It felt like we drove so long until the car suddenly stopped. She got me out of the car and led inside this place. When she took the blindfold off. everyone jumped out of their hiding spots.
