Jasmine POV.

A week later I found myself heading to yet another awkward dinner with my sister. Ever since that one time that I showed up unexpected at her house, she has made it a mission to always plan ahead of time, no last minute plans or unexpected visits. She seemed to want to have a weekly dinner or at least hangout. Every dinner or visit always felt rushed and not genuine. It felt like she was trying to make up for something but I didn't know what. I don't know maybe I was just tripping or I imagining things.

The conversations where always the same, same questions, same responses, same facial expressions after I gave her an answer. It was starting to become bothersome, don't get me wrong I love my sister but I feel like dinner every weekend was unnecessary. No grown siblings with busy lives saw each other this often on purpose, at least not siblings with our type of relationship.

Today's dinner was at a beautiful italian restaurant that looked like it was way more than I could afford. As I walked in the ambiance was very warm and cozy yet everyone was dressed like they were going to a fancy party. I self conciously tugged on my blouse hopping that maybe all the pulling would somehow elongate it and cover my black leggings.

I spotted Abigail at the same moment she spotted me. She lazily waved and I quickly hurried over to her. "Abby, why didn't you tell me this place was really fancy?" Sitting down I placed the napkin on my lap and continued "This must be some type of occasion?" I finished my sentence by taking a huge gulp of the lemon water that was in front of me.

"There is no occasion, I just happened to want some Italian food today." She answered and added a shoulder shrug as if that would put all my questions at ease.

"So how's work?" She asked popping a piece of bread in her mouth. I mentally rolled my eyes.. here we go again. This was starting to get really old really fast. "Look Abigail I tuly appreciate that you're trying to have some type of sister bonding and all but I honestly don't think it is nessesry to do it every single week. We always have the same conversation. At least give me time to maybe do something new and exciting that way we have something to actually talk about!" I quickly realized I was raising my voice by the facial expression she gave me followed by her scanning the room.

"Jasmine, I've just been wanting to spend time with you that's all. I will be going on a trip and won't be back for a few months." She looked down and pick a invisible piece of lint off her chest.

I instantly felt like an asshole, maybe I was overreacting. I smiled weakly and she nodded accepting my apology. "So where are you going?"

"Ehh no where exciting but let's not talk about me. Let's talk about you, how has -"
"No no no" I quickly cut her off. "We ALWAYS talk about me, let's talk about you. How have you been? Any new men in your life apart from the one you had hiding in your room last time I was over?" She choked on her water and turned a bright shade of pink.

"Why are you asking about who I'm with? Did someone say something to you?" She now looked angry yet low key freaked out. "Coño Abby it was just a question, there's no need for you to act like that. You're always grilling me about who I'm messing with. You're especially overly pushy with me moving on ever since Lance, yet I've never been rude to you because of it." I shook my head and stood up.

"I honestly hope that you have a safe trip, and our next dinner will be in a month. No more weekly interrogations because that's how these dinners have been feeling." I turned and walked away.

I wasn't going to give her a chance to respond and continue to upset me on such a beautiful Sunday.

**

As I was pulling into my drive way, I noticed a black sports car parked on the side of the road next to my mailbox. Great.. now I have a stalker. Well he/she is in for a rude awakening because as young girls my sister and I were placed into different self defense and martial arts classes. So you can say I am more than capable in protecting myself.

I parked and jumped out the car "s'cuse me buddy but I'm gunna need you to move the fuck along, this ain-"

The window rolled down unexpectedly and my breath caught in my throat.

"Is that how you welcome all your visitors or just me?" Damon asked giving me the most cutest dimpled smile I've ever seen.

"Well don't just stand there, invite me in" his hazel eyes twinkled yet immediatly deepened into pools of mossy hazel green.. Wait what am I thinking.. "pools of mossy hazel green?" I sound like a creep, I bet I'm looking like one with drool dripping from the corner of my mouth.

"This is a bad idea, send him home" my inner voice suddenly intervened, she's right.. I should send his ass home.

I blinked once, twice "Come in"...
