Mondays'

I placed my face to my hands and groaned because of frustration. It took a lot of strength to restrain myself into throwing this damn math book in front of me. I've spent my Sunday, even though I knew it is still due on Tuesday, figuring how to solve this but there's no luck. Today is no different, I'm now at my room in Literature class 20 minutes early, hoping I could use my spare time to work on my math.

I've been struggling every year just to pass this subject. I would be lucky if I get a B but I didn't have any problems on the other subjects though. So if it means that I need to give extra time and effort with this then so be it.

'I fucking hate math' I muttered grabbing my pen starting to decode the complicated world of math.

I was too caught up with what I was doing that I didn't know what the time is. So I glance up just to see Keith watching me, grinning.

What the hell.

How did he get here? Was I to engross to what I'm doing that I didn't notice him enter the room? I glanced at the clock behind him. Its 5 minutes before class. I want to mentally slap myself right now. I also realized there are few people inside the room now.

Note to self: Be mindful of your time Jade.

Then I focused my eyes on the boy in front of me "What?" I tried my best to sound friendly because he has been a good company last Saturday but I can't help it. Wrong timing again Keith.

He arched his eyebrows "Having a hard time Jade on..." he looked at my desk "Math?" his lips curl like he didn't believe what he saw.

"You shouldn't be happy with someone else's misery Keith. It's rude." I shoved my math book in my bag as he moved to the sit beside me. I stared at the board in front waiting for the teacher, I'm not in the mood to talk. Math is giving me a headache.

I heard him chuckle beside me, I looked at him "Keep laughing and I'll kick you in your most treasured body part. And I'm not kidding I studied martial arts when I was young." And he kept silent staring at me blankly then it's my turn to smile.

"I just didn't' see it coming. I didn't even imagined you hate math because the last time I checked you were throwing words I never knew in a freaking scrabble game Jade."

"English and Math are two different things smart ass. And like I said it's not like I know everything."

I'm not perfect. I wanted to add

"I hate to say this but we truly are total opposites" before I could ask what does he mean, Nathan arrived sat down beside Keith without even glancing about us. I don't know Nathan that much but I know enough that he isn't his usual self.

"What's your problem dude?" Keith asked... looks like I'm not the only one who noticed.

"Lilies or Roses?" Nathan asked looking serious

"WHAT!" Keith and I said. He quickly glance at me then we both laughed. Is he joking?

"I just don't know what to give to Nicole" he shrugged and I smiled. That's so sweet. I can't wait to meet her, she's indeed a lucky girl. I hope Nathan is true as it seems.

"Lilies."

"Roses."

Keith and I said at the same time.

"Remind me not to ask both of you again. Don't you guys agree once in a while?" Nathan asked. It isn't much of a surprise though. And I will not let this go. Nathan should pick Lilies.
