Kristine's POV
What? I cracked up laughing with Taylor.
"Y-you're kidding, right?" I said, still laughing. Taylor stopped.
"Um, no." She said, turning the phone around to where I could see. Sure enough, right under "Prince Charming"-Toby Turner.
"I didn't even know he liked theater!" I said. We read through the rest of the list, none of the other youtubers/magconers even tried out! And even more surprisingly1D didn't! A bunch of the other kids in the drama class had gotten the other parts. Almost as if magic, Toby poked his head in the door.
"When did YOU try out?" We both said in unicen. We all started laughing and Toby bowed.
"Good afternoon, Almost Cinderella." Toby said.
"How do you do, Prince Charming." I said as I pretended to curtsy.
"Well, I just came by to say congrats!" Toby said, waving and exiting.
"You too!" I waved.
I couldn't wait to start practicing!
<<TIME TRAVEL TO 1 WEEK LATER>>
I was so excited. I had already memorized most of my, er, Cinderella's lines from the play. I had been listening non-stop to the soundtrack. And, just like that, *insert snapping sound here* I had memorized it all. Taylor came by after school and helped me practice 'till 4, and then Toby brought a video of practice that day. We all watched and then Taylor and Toby left. There had been a sharp decrease in homework since all of our test were finished, and I wasn't required to do 9 weeks test after finals since I had such good grades.
I was left alone during the day, with just me, my laptop, CD player, and script. I listened to the radio a lot and played minecraft, but I was still pretty lonely. I pushed those thoughts away and danced from the waist-up to 80s songs, since mom had owned this iPod she gave me previously. "Young Turks" was my favorite. I sang it every day to warm up before Taylor showed up.
"Young hearts, be free, tonight!" I sang as I did the monkey.
"Time is on your side!" I began the sprinkler.
"Don't let 'em put you down, don't let 'em push you round! Don't ever let them change your point of view!" I immediately stopped dancing as Taylor walked in. I laughed and turned off the music. Something was wrong.
"Taylor? Is something wrong?" I asked. Taylor just stood there. "Is there something you need to tell me?" I asked again. Tears started to flow from her eyes as she ran to my side. She pulled me into a hug and sobbed into my shoulder. I hugged her back. "What happened?"

*FLASHBACK*
Taylor's POV
It was at recess. I sat down in my usual spot, waiting for the other girls to show up. They never did. I became more curious and worried as recess went on. I had waited about 20 minutes when they finally showed up. "Where were you guys?" I asked.
"Oh, well, Carly had a date." Regina said. They all giggled.
"And, you all went?" I asked.
"Well, naturally. We wanted to make sure everything went well. They're still on it!" She said again.
