Finns POV
As soon as it's happened, I regretted it. I knew she was with the right guy. Why did I do this? Now I've made her sad. I've made her upset, and she probably hates me now.
And it's was all my fault. I slowly walked behind Dan and Kristine. They were both crying.
I felt even worse now.
Gosh, I'm such an idiot. I broke the one girl I like's heart. Why?! Because I'm a jerk. That's why. I shouldn't talk to Kristine right now.
But I had to do something later. As I turned to go hide in the men's room, I heard someone get up behind me.
"Finn. We need to talk." I heard Kristine say in between sniffles.
"I didn't know it would turn out this way." I said.
"I didn't either. I'm not mad at you. I would probably have done the same thing in your shoes."
Wow. I wasn't expecting that.
"Look, Kristine, I-" I began.
"No, don't apologize, it's kind of you, though. I need to talk to him. Probably tomorrow after the party or something."
"Actually, Kristine, this might affect the surprise we are revealing."
"What do you mean?"
"I, I don't want to ruin it."
"Look, just tell me, okay?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"
"I, I can't. I'm sorry. You'll find out tomorrow."
"Fine. Let's just go decorate." She said, storming off.
What had I done? I needed to fix this, and soon. I had to go.

Kristine's POV
I didn't know what to think. I didn't know what to do. I just knew that I had to tell Dan what really happened.
But I had to help my friends and decorate first.
I tried to look as decent as possible as I walked back into the cafeteria. There, right in front of me stood Jenna Marbles.
"Hi! So you're the Kristine I keep hearing about?" She said as she shook my hand.
"Um, yep! Hey!" I said. I smiled back and grabbed some streamers to start putting up. I was getting used to this kind of stuff, meeting famous youtubers and all. I glared at Finn from across the cafeteria. He tried to avoid all eye contact with me while filling up more balloons with helium. I tired to busy myself with the streamers and table cloths, but my mind kept wandering back to Dan.
Ugh.

<<<THE DAY OF THE GOING AWAY PARTY>>>
Taylor's POV
I had been texting back and forth with Niall for a while. He said that the boys were really grumpy for some reason and he was frustrated at Harry for pouting and complaining all the time. Kendall had tried to make him feel better but it never worked. That's a shame.
At least I wasn't there!
I snickered at my own joke and walked upstairs to pull together an outfit for the party. I swooped into my closet and pulled out some skinny jeans and a coral tank top with white lace over it. I threw a pair of sparkly, nude sandals next to it for good measure. As I was humming along to some song I barely knew, I remembered something.
It had been wandering in the back of my mind for a while now, but I never really confronted it.
A few months ago, before school was out, Taylor and Harry were fighting. In the classroom.
*Flashback!*
"She wouldn't be giving us the cold shoulder if you hadn't punched me!" I heard Harry say.
"I wouldn't have punched you if you hadn't been such a jerk to me!" I hears Taylor say a little louder.
"Since when was I a jerk to you?! 5th grade?!" Harry said louder than he should have.
"Not only since then! In 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, need I go on?! And now, just to make me mad, you steal the girl I have a crush on! Just to make me mad!" Taylor shouted.
*Back to reality!*
What did he mean by 6th, 7th, etc.? They went to two totally different schools! This wasn't really happening, was it?
I needed to talk to Taylor.

Kristine's POV
5 hours, 3 minutes, and 16 seconds until the party.
...
5 hours, 3 minutes, and 10 seconds until the party.
...
5 hours, 2 minutes, and 57 seconds until I had to see Dan.
...
5 hours, 2 minutes, and 51 seconds until I was to announce the surprise in front of everyone.
I sat facing the clock, counting down the seconds until the now most dreaded moment of my life. The youtubers said they would announce their surprise first, then ours.
I didn't know wether to be excited or depressed. But I did know that I had to talk to Dan, wether or not he agreed to the surprise. I had to have closure.
Because I didn't want to not say goodbye.
My phone rang just then. It was from Taylor.
"Yeah?" I muttered.
"Hey, do you want me to come over? We can pick out your outfit together...go get Starbucks...murder Finn...egg Dan's car..."
"You know that Starbucks got us into a fight last time."
"What about Dan and Finn?"
"Dan didn't do anything. And Finn is well, he's Finn. He'll come through."
"I'm not hearing a no!"
"I'm not saying yes! Finn said he's going to do something about it wether I like it or not." I said, rolling my eyes. (We had texted earlier that day.)
"Well, I'm coming over anyways. I've got the perfect outfit for you!"
"Fine." I hung up, waiting for Taylor's car to pull up in the driveway.
My phone rang again. Did Taylor forget where I lived or something? I picked up my phone to see...
It was Dan.
Did I pick it up? Did I let it ring? ASDFGHJKL what do I do?
I panicked and pressed the bright green button, answering the call.
I pressed my ear against the phone.
"...Yeah?" I said.
"Look Phil, I- Hey! Kris! Um, we need to talk."
