Some facts (that aren't very good but oh well):
1.) Jul. 4 shouldn't actually be Independence Day 2.) John Adams never recognized Jul. 4 3.) The First public celebration of Jul. 4 was actually on Jul. 8 4.) The Declaration of Independence wasn't actually signed until Aug. 2 5.) Fireworks (was a tradition stolen from Great Britain and used since the very beginning) 6.) Thomas Jefferson wasn't alone in writing the Declaration of Independence 7.) One signer of the Declaration later recanted 8.) There is something written on the back of the Declaration of Independence 9.) Paul Revere wasn't the only messenger on that midnight ride 10.) Not all the founding fathers wore wigs 11.) Mount Rushmore wasn't always supposed to have presidents on it 12.) America has been free for 241 years as of today 13.) Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4th, 1826, on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. James Monroe would follow 5 years later dying on the same day 1831.

15.) Jefferson's face on Mount Rushmore was originally going to be on the left of Washington but the people working on it were told that that was going to lead to disaster, basically, so they blew off Jefferson's face from the left and put it on the right
