The Universe Ends With You

Chapter 7

It's been almost a year, since Rolan, found Zy. Nothing much had happened in the past year. Just Zy piling questions into his mind.

Does Rolan actually have Units?
What is the point of the trapdoor?
Where is my Zoomer?
What is Bez working on?
What is...everything?
Who is Rolan?

He asked himself the last question at least 5 times a day.

Rolan watches as Zy runs to Bez's hole, and jumps in. After he sees this- Rolan opens the door of the shack, and goes to the back. He lifts the trapdoor that is there. Underneath is just dirt. Rolan reaches into his pocket and pulls out a red, pill looking item. And tosses it on the dirt. After a few moments the red pill seems to melt. It melts into the dirt. A long pause. Then the dirt that is under the trapdoor seems to digest itself. Until all that is left is a hole. A ladder runs down one side of the whole- and Rolan climbs down it. When he gets to the bottom, it is very dark. Rolan reaches into his pocket and pulls out a metal gray box, a line runs around it in the middle. A lighter. Rolan flips it up and it creates a purple and red flame. The room that he is in is about the size of a garage.

Rolan walks to the right wall, which is made of dirt, a silver door stand son the middle of it. Rolan types in a code 3-6-2-5, in the light of his lighter. The door beeps and then swings open by itself. Rolan steps back. The door stops, and Rolan steps inside.

Inside of this...vault...Units- small gold coin looking things are everywhere. Rolan pulls, a small plastic card from his back pocket, and casually drops it into a small pile of Units. The card slowly absorbs the Units. Storing the Units on the card, so they can be spent. Then Rolan, adjusts himself, then picks the card up off the ground.

Rolan walks back to the ladder, and climbs out. 500 Units were now on his card. People at the bar in town, always ask him how me has so many Units. He never told them how he had them.

Rolan pulls himself onto the surface and looks at the hole. After a moment the dirt that the red pill melted, came back. Rolan, then closed the trapdoor, and began walking down the street as if nothing had ever happened.

"Why is it acceptable for you to be an idiot but not for me to point it out?" Bez says to Zy. "What?" Zy asks, confused. "Do you have any friends?" Bez snaps at Zy, cruelty. "Yea-... you." Zy says. "Me? Are you insane? I hate you!" Bez yells and shoves Zy to the ground. "What did I do to you?!" Zy says, holding back tears. Bez raises one of his wrenches at Zy, "Get Out!" Bez yells. Zy scrambles to his feet and walks to the entrance of Bez's hole. And pulls himself out. Zy half runs/ have stumbles back to the shack. What just happened.

Bez pulls the new motor me made from his table. He had to get Zy away so he could transport the motor to the Zoomer. Bez puts the motor in a bag, which was a little on the small side, and the motor weighting quite  bit. He takes the bag outside and starts walking, to the Zoomer that is hidden about 1.5 units away.

Fink, who had escaped 28 days ago, now flying in a ship, going anywhere was better than where he was. Of course, he had no idea what a ship was- or what a sun was- or what space was. But the voice- told him everything, throughout the 200+ days it took him to dig out of the mines, and to the surface.  The voice told him what buttons to push, lever to pull, how to control where he was going, and where he should go. The voice told him to go to the planet of the Gazorpians. The voice never told him why. The voice hadn't told Fink that he is a Gazorpian...not yet...
The voice wanted Fink to find that out on his own.

The voice also had taught Fink, how to speak Rosin. Not completely fluent but at least so people could understand him. The voice told him what direction to go, and Fink did exactly what the voice had said.

There Fink was...heading to his original home planet.
